That sounds tasty. I once knew a guy who swore the only way to cook turkey was to smear it with peanut butter first. He said you couldn’t taste the peanut later, but the oil made a wonderful baste/coating. I’ve never had the nerve to try it.

It does sound like it would work good but I am with you, I don’t feel brave enough to try it. lol

The recipe I listed did have a draw back, it wasn’t good drippings to make a gravy with. Also, when I stewed the carcass for hours to make a freezable broth (always do that with my turkeys)the allspice and ginger was very evident.

I couldn’t really detect the spices when we ate the turkey but the broth, oh yeah. I wounder if the pb works the same way?
