ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Authorities in Florida say a man flashed a fake gun and badge and demanded free fast food at a McDonald's drive-thru.
Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies say Joseph Pineda told employees Friday that he deserved free food, had just come from a sting and didn't have his wallet.

Yes, some of the McDonald’s in the US, and around the world, would put a lot of fancy restaurants to shame...with their decor
One of the most modern and fancy McDonalds I have ever been in was in a small town in Texas. It actually looked like the one in your photo (the first photo)
Off the A3 Autobahn in Germany, in a Service Area (Rasten & Tanken), there is a McDonalds that is like a fancy sophisticated cafe (A fancy McCafe)
McDonalds, unlike a lot of restaurants, is actually making money during the recession. Their food is basic, but they keep it cheap, kid friendly, and have really updated and upgraded their restaurants....worldwide
