WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama finally celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on Saturday - a romantic night on the town that came three days late after being pre-empted by a high-stakes presidential debate.

The first couple marked the occasion with a dinner for two at the Bourbon Steak restaurant in the Four Seasons hotel in Washington's upscale Georgetown section.

....The small pool of journalists who normally accompany Obama in his motorcade went along for the ride on Saturday's date night, but did not catch a glimpse of the couple during their two-hour, 20-minute outing.

The Obamas are disgusting. I just wish more Americans would see them for what they are.

We had planned a cruise but due to financial circumstances at the time, we instead had a “Moonlight Cocktail Cruise from Savannah to Daufuski Island aboard the “waving Girl” We danced aboard the boat, ate island delicasies on the dock at Daufuski and all and all thought it a very romantic anniversary. True love does not have to spend a lot of money.

That image should be spread far and wide...the people that would still vote for him in November are responsible, as well...never forget that.

Seriously? $10 for a spoonful of creamed corn or spinach or baked beans or a potato? Who pays $10 for creamed corn? Bully for the restaurant owner if he can scam the customers but he’s got some truly stuuuupid customers.

Romney offered his congratulations and joked to Obama," I'm sure this was the most romantic place you could imagine, here with me."

Romney might have been closer to the truth than he knows.

According to “Dreams of my father” Their anniversary is on Nov. 10th.

Oh, puleeze! Give him a break. This guy can't even remember what year he was born or what country he was born in and you expect him to remember his anniversary??? Besides, submitting the bill to the taxpayers is easier in October than it might be after Nov. 7th.

Reminds me of a bar in Denver long ago when a booming voice from a 5 foot guy under a ten gallon hat said: Set em up, when Duke drinks everyone drinks. Five minutes later he laid down a fiver and said, and when Duke pays, every body pays!

Scanning the wine list, no so impressed...frankly my wine cellar is better stocked. Still, wonder what his excellency chose to drink with his dinner. After his perfermance the other night, probably just had some 151 straight up.

The Emperor and Empress dine well while the peasants can barely afford McDonalds.

It's good to be king.

Then again, in the land of the blind, the one-eyed fat man is king.

JUNE 10, 2010 The Man Who Would Be King "Over the heads of some of the sycophants in the mainstream media there appears to be the proverbial light bulb turning on. After sixteen months of the Obama presidency, questions are being asked about not only his competency, but what motivates this putative savior.

The current President of the United States, acting in a way that would make Nero proud, continues to fiddle while not only the United States burns, but the rest of the world begins to spin out of control. The economy and the financial future of the country are in shambles. The oil spill in the Gulf was allowed to spread with no plan, central authority, or leadership in place to prevent its destruction of the Gulf coast. American weakness and lack of resolve has sent a signal and emboldened our enemies to press their hegemonic strategy throughout the globe and to attack our allies, such as Israel.

The country is in this position because all President Obama wants to do, and is capable of doing, is half his job.

Barack Obama has been the number-one topic of conversation among many of my friends and associates in London. His incompetence and narcissism, and the danger he poses to the interests of the United States and its allies in Europe, are startling people. I was asked, "How does Obama view himself as President?" We happened to be sitting in a hotel which overlooked Buckingham Palace, and the answer to the question came to me......."

......It appears that President Obama also believes, as the "titular" world head of state, that he can, by sheer force of his will, charm, persuasive power, and denigration of his country, convince the most brutal of global adversaries to live in peace. His mere words, well-delivered via his teleprompter, will solve not only the ongoing global financial crisis, but also longstanding international disputes.

The rest of the world has begun to see through Obama's unrestrained self-absorption. The rejection of the Olympics for Chicago despite Obama's personal intervention and some of the published comments of Nicholas Sarkozy and the whispers in the backrooms of Europe and other world capitals are just the tip of the iceberg; the real consensus of opinion is slowly but surely beginning to reflect the reality and danger of Obama's incompetence and unrestrained vanity.

However, President Obama's makeup is such that and he will instead seek any excuse to explain away what is said or done as the result of the failings of others.

Notwithstanding the determination of the founding fathers to avoid having a "monarch," we now have one, at least in his own mind. Unfortunately, it comes at a most dangerous time in world affairs, and with the economic future of the United States hanging in the balance."

That was what she wore to film the campaign video for the rubes. I’m sure she wore something much more glamorous for her outing to Georgetown.

A 4 serving box of lemon pudding costs about 75 cents or less if it’s homemade. One can only imagine how much that State Dinner pudding cost us taxpayers.
