SUPER IMPORTANT: TELL MITT ROMNEY TO VISIT BILLY GRAHAM

Posted on 10/07/2012 12:58:59 PM PDT by SarahPalin2012

Whoever has access to his campaign. Very important. Sarah visited in 2008. More necessary for Mitt as the Left is raising this issue (Time Magazine cover issue currently -- for Oct 8th).

Why? Graham is a Clintons democrat and has been a democrat all his preaching career.

I don’t know if Graham would pimp himself to legitimize Mormonism. I don’t think Mitt would dare risk being rejected either.

Is he really? I’ve been getting good letters in the mail from him talking about the pitiful state of the country on a moral level. I don’t think a Clinton Democrat would be all that worried.

Billy Graham endorsed McCain (his first ever presidential endorsement). He did not officially endorse W Bush, but he did so unofficially.

Anyway, the most important thing is not Mr. Graham so much, but to reassure the evangelical base.

I must have missed the edition of this rag that discussed what HARRY REID’S faith tells us about HIS visions and values.

I predicted way last Spring that the media would play the Mormon card about now. You can look it up. Too bad we have some bigoted anti-Mormon colluders right here on FR who prefer to see Obama beat Romney, just like TIME Magazine does.

I’ve never seen this before. Quite disturbing.

Another good reason for Graham not to meet with Mitt. The last thing we need is for the relativists to legitimize another religious cult. But if Graham is a universalist anyway, it probably doesn’t matter.

According to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association when asked about the nature of cults:

A cult is any group which teaches doctrines or beliefs that deviate from the biblical message of the Christian faith. It is very important that we recognize cults and avoid any involvement with them. Cults often teach some Christian truth mixed with error, which may be difficult to detect.

There are some features common to most cults:

• They do not adhere solely to the sixty-six books of the Bible as the inspired Word of God. They add their "special revelations" to the Bible and view them as equally authoritative.

• They do not accept that our relationship to Jesus Christ is a reality "by grace through faith" alone, but promote instead a salvation by works.

• They do not give Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God, full recognition as the second Person of the Trinity, composed of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Some of these groups are Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, the Unification Church, Unitarians, Spiritists, Scientologists, and others.

Incredible that one month before the election, Christians and Conservatives are making the specifics of theology an issue while the Left uses it to attack.

YES: Mormonism is a cult.
YES: Billy Graham has at times sounded a little too inclusive.
YES: There are many conservative Christians who are wondering whether they can vote for a Mormon (while the alternative is actively Anti-God).
YES: Mitt should meet with Graham, as most presidents have done before. It would be a good image, and helpful to the campaign.

Your problem with Mormonism and Mr. Graham’s specifics of theology ARE NOT the issue here.

I’m more concerned whether Graham is “too inclusive” (which means, holds to the biblical standard) or isn’t inclusive at all, as the video suggests.

What is the truth on Graham? Is he a legitimate preacher or not?

Oops, I said that wrong. Universalism is NOT the Biblical standard.

There are 73 books in the Holy Bible. Billy Graham should know this basic fact.

Outside of the bible, Billy Graham is unmatched in reaching and converting people to Christ.

""According to his staff, more than 3.2 million people have responded to the invitation at Billy Graham Crusades to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. As of 2008, Graham's estimated lifetime audience, including radio and television broadcasts, topped 2.2 billion.""

Mr. Obama visited the Rev. Billy Graham in his home in North Carolina in April 2010, becoming the 12th president to meet the famed pastor.

In my opinion separation of church and state renders this subject irrelevant.

Since when is Meacham writing for Time?

Last I knew he was shepherding Newsweak to bankruptcy.
