soother, have you seen Bridesmaids? saw it in the theater and literally belly laughed out loud repeatedly. xshub was channel surfing on Sat PM and we came across it and i made him watch it. he’s much more MATURE than i am, and even he thought it was hysterical. i laughed just as hard seeing it again. the actress that plays Megan cracks me the hell UP! yes, it does play to the sense of humor of adolescent boys, which is why i am sure that Explorer89 would enjoy it if she’s not seen it yet, since we share a penchant for juvenile humor!

In 1492, an industrial culture discovered new lands and laid waste to the indigenous agrarian culture. Hey, sh** happens.

And then we ate well. :-)

What kind of legal thinking is this? It's the opposite of empyreal.

Empyreal

According to Mz. Bootstrap, our Local Historian and Graduated Teacher, I copied that right off her printed cards, she says,
“This empyreal is about Roman guys who were sorta like presidents but dressed like the the Statue of Liberty.
There was Empyreal Nero and Caesar but I think Caesar was killed while trying to seize something so he empyreal-ed out right fast on account of a no good woman named Ida March.”

Mz. Bootstrap also has a drive through denture window behind the garage.

Hmmmn.

But who are losing money in those “lost sales” .. the business who is not making as much, or the consumer who may not really knead all merchandise they are handling?

Speaking of the fiery word of the day, do you really think the streets (er, slums) will burn when Obama’s empyreality show gets cancelled in November?

Everyone else in the world is at work and school today, outside the govt.
This guy is not empyreal, he's merely human and not a very good one at that.

Yeah!!! You're here.....I was beginning to think everyone was sick or sleeping in and there would be no class today.

There will be empyreal expecations for Obozo's comeback a week from Thursday at the Town Hall debate, while the Media continues to obfuscate and cover for Obozo's lack of knowledge for his own Presidency and attempt to set the table for his return to relavency in this election cycle.

The one flaw in all of this?

That Obozo's biggest mistake may be that he should have scheduled two Presidential debates, a week apart, and then the Veep debate because Obozo now must weather two weeks of Romney's momentum before he and media get a chance to stack the deck again.

And it makes it harder to catch up when people may already be tuning out and deciding for the other guy who turned out to not be the person the media was advertising him to be.

i don’t know how the law is written, but it seems ridiculous. Can’t see them ruling that way unless it’s the plain meaning of whatever the statute is.

Maybe in Cleveland, Ohio, per an article posted earlier today, but I also read an article posted by a FRiend here a couple of weeks back where the Black community in Chicago was saying that it wouldn't happen......

Then again, I wouldn't put it past some to use it as a last chance to get 'Free Stuff' by breaking glass display windows in streetside shops.....

"South Central" --- the National version ---

Our imperial Reader with his self-styled empyreal attitude declares, "Thou shalt not repeal my healthcare law!" The Constitution is a mere plaything to the Pretender_OTUS, to be disregarded on a whim -- all the while he spends most of his time on the golf course (or chasing male prey as some say). His behavior may repel most decent Americans, but the amoral entitlement class don't care, as long as they get "theirs."

I've been saying from the beginning that Obozo was "The Manchurian Candidate"......

And I called him that to all my friends and acquantences...especially the ones that voted for him......by 2011, one particularly rabid liberal transplanted from "Merry"land to Ohio was bobbing her head in agreement......to bad stupid people can't care enough to get educated before they make their mistakes and make the rest of us pay the price......

She was an insufferable NPR listener......

I know how she feels. My sister is in banking and gets loads of holiday time, never has to work after dark or on a Sunday, whereas I work most weekends and have worked nights and evenings before because my job demands are 24/7. Holiday? Weekend? What’s that? The kids have fall break on different schedules but the spouse is working and so am I so it’s nothing different.

well we choose our career paths and anyone choosing medicine has to be fully cognizant of the fact that nights/weekends/etc are all on the table. If i am not mistaken there are shift differentials for working other than daytime? I have to work whatever schedule it takes to get what i have due done on time.

My point being, that a lot of professions are more like vocations because people do have to give up a lot to practice them and they are rarely compensated financially unless they are surgeons. So it does kind of burn to see how many holidays other jobs get and how salaries don’t seem to reflect the true value of the work. Factory workers vs daycare workers, whose job is really more valuable? Hard to say, but the pay gap is enormous.

Home at last-did two little estimates, ran to the store and helped a neighbor put up as couple of moveable barricades as a potty training aide for her new puppy-

Obama’s empyreal pretentions
Have gotten him into a mess-
He just looks pretentious when
He tries hard to impress

There simply is no substance
Behind that phony veneer-
He’s not impressing many with
An elevated nose and a sneer

But he continues the charade
As he totally ignores his job
Will he go to Hawaii after November
Or back to Chicago and the mob?
