Judges approve SC voter ID law, delay implementation until 2013

A panel of three federal judges upheld a South Carolina law requiring voters to show photo identification, but delayed enforcement until next year, in a decision announced Wednesday, less than a month before this year's presidential election.

In a unanimous ruling, the judges said there was no discriminatory intent behind the law, ruling that it would not diminish African-Americans' voting rights because people who face a "reasonable impediment" to getting an acceptable photo ID can still vote if they sign an affidavit.

I wonder how the judges would rule on a proposed law to ban burning the houses of judges ... “Sure, it’s a good law, we’re going to implement it, but it won’t take effect until next year.” For some reason I think they would feel differently about urgency. But not for voter fraud, for some reason.

It’s okay, we’ll take it. Slowly but surely, we’re rolling back their BS.

2013? Of course! Keep Obama in President, you know! He gave us a phone! He's gonna do more!

Blatantly unconstitutional decision. It is, in effect, an ex post facto law, because illegal votes taken now will be proscribed in the future, but not before Obama gets back in.

This country can never be fixed without first fixing the Judicial system. Limit what judges can do. Remove from duty. those that act on anything beyond the constitution and the law. Start with the chief justice.
