In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".

rectitude \REK-tuh-tood\ noun
1. the quality or state of being straight
2. moral integrity : righteousness
3. the quality or state of being correct in judgment or procedures

Example sentences:
The speaker exhorted audience members to lead lives of unimpeachable rectitude and integrity. ,

"The finance ministry will pitch India's strength as a largely domestic economy, renew its commitment to fiscal rectitude and showcase recent measures to lift sentiment to try and convince global rating firms not to downgrade the country's sovereign rating."
— From an article by Deepshikha Sikarwar in The Economic Times, September 7, 2012

Etymology:
"Rectitude" has a righteous derivation. It comes straight from the Latin noun "rectus," which means both "right" and "straight." "Rectitude" itself can mean either "straightness" (an early use referred to literal straightness of lines, although this sense is now rare) or "rightness" of character. "Rectus" has a number of other descendants in English, including "rectangle" (a figure with four right angles), "rectify" ("to make right"), "rectilinear" ("moving in or forming a straight line"), and even "rectus" itself (a medical term for any one of several straight muscles in the body).

The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)
Practice makes perfect.....post on....

I rushed home from work that day after the spouse told me how well they were doing and watched the unfolding and subsequent giveaway. They have kept all the games exciting, that’s for sure!

1. the quality or state of being straight

Bent over & presenting is the 'rectitude' of the non-straight...

When I was reading the baloney from the ozero camp about how he was too polite I thought when? I have yet to see him be polite to Romney, much less the American people. The only deference I have seen is the bowing and scraping to Muslims. A for you!

Thanks ... his propensity to bow (esp. to “camel humpers”) *is* telling.

It is 82 and mostly cloudy, with rain chances going up-yay!

Obama’s minions are very worried-
You can tell by all the spinning
They’re busy rigging numbers so
They can pretend they are winning

They say unemployment is down-
Use a magnifier to see the gains
Real estate sales are better, too-
But just on Tuesdays when it rains

The lamentable lack of rectitude
Is certainly not unexpected-
It won’t change with Obama’s bunch
So they must be stamped “rejected”

It seems that one unnamed state did not report job #s, so this week’s tally is skewed. Yeah, right.

What bulls***-but if there is really an unnamed state, I’ll give pretty good odd that it is California...

A+ for you. It was an interesting debate, from a psych point of view. Lots of inappropriate behaviors, laughing, smirking, interrupting 82 times. I think Biden is certifiable.

I only counted 75 interruptions, but I took the dog outside at one point and missed part of it. I thought he gave the appearance of being rather manic-like he’d taken too many stimulants/”uppers” before he went out there.

So ozero looked like he smoked pot before he rolled onto the stage and biden looked like a tweaker. Unbelievable. What embarrassments for the USA.
