I've heard much about the "big bird" controversy but until I saw Dennis Miller on O'Rielly I had no clue what it was about. I'm sure millions of others are equally uninformed as I was on the matter. Simply stated, Big Bird sponsored on PBS with public tax dollars is a gold mine taking in literally millions of dollars, The URL will tell it better than I can. Now I know why Romney wants to cut off PBS.

The Childrens Television Workshop is a business. Their business in making a TV show, Sesame Street, and marketing the hell out of the characters. They make a boatload of money doing it. And isn't that what capitalism is all about?
I'm all for cutting off money for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. And while we're at it I think they should also defund Voice of America, Radio Marti', and other similar orgainzations. I don't think their value is worth borrowing money from China from either, and their budget is higher than CPB's is.
