That first pitch hanging (slider?)to Scott Rolen(Reds last at bat)looked like something Valverde would have thrown. That was a walk-off pitch if there ever was one...Rolen must have been looking 100% fastball and missed a meatball to end the game...oh well.
To add insult to injury for the Rangers, how about the Final Four consisting of the A’s, Yankees, and the two teams that beat them in the World Series.
They were down by two, and I was just too tired to stay up.

Pro sports have more/less slid off my radar the past few years, but being born less than 100mi from the original Busch Stadium made them a boyhood favorite.
Our manager took us over to a Cards game (still in uniforms) after we were knocked out of the Senior League State playoffs in Granite City (cuz I wasn't pitching ;-).
It was vey kewl . . .
