Me, personally (being the straighforward, give a s@#t guy I am), I would have turned to him at some point and said, “Mr. Vice President, what do you find funny about the death of four Americans on your watch? Is that amusing?”
I think that would have worked for Ryan, and been a “You’re no Jack Kennedy” moment people would remember forever. Still, he succeeded in showing he’s unflappable, which can’t be bad.
