Taurine is an amino acid essential to a cat's diet. Apropos of nothing in particular, I think the article underestimated the kitten’s age. At 4 weeks a kitten still has that drowned-rat look.* I’d peg her at 6 weeks myself.

Nonsense. You all take this way too seriously. The cat at worst maybe just doesn’t feel like playing now while the dog does. The cat’s tail is STRAIGHT UP nearly the whole time. She’s satisfied, just not that into it, although she does play back in her own way. The way you all talk before I watched, I thought she was actually running away or totally avoiding this dog altogether. Not the case.
After all, look at the still pix as well and the word of the people involved. It’s not just this 1 film that says it all.

As I said, there’s more to it than a single film of maybe 2 minutes long.
I watched a video, not sure if it is the one the poster is referring to, and didn’t see any fear in the kitten. They both went after each other, when puppy nibbled, kitten nibbled right back.
Growing up I had a husky mix who did that. Kitties were all fine, just a bit slobbery.
So cute!
