A funeral for a retired schoolteacher who was killed in her Hercules home is set for this week.

Relatives of Susie Ko say services will be held Friday at St. Patrick’s Church in Rodeo on Friday at 10 a.m., with a burial to follow in Oakland at Mountain View Cemetery.

The 55-year-old Ko was found dead in her home by neighbors on Oct. 5. Police say an autopsy report showed that she died of stab wounds and blunt force trauma to the head.

Meanwhile, investigators are trying to determine if a husband and wife arrested last week near Seattle, and named as suspects in the killing, may have been involved in more crimes as they drove from Northern California to Washington.

Fugitive Couple Arrested In Washington State After Police Pursuit In Stolen Car

October 10, 2012 11:05 PM

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A married couple wanted in the attempted murder of a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy has been taken into custody Wednesday following a police pursuit in Washington state.

Darnell Washington, 24, and his wife, 25-year-old Tania Washington, were arrested Wednesday morning near Seattle.

SeaTac Police said they first took note of the couple because they were in a stolen car registered to a murdered Northern California woman.

Nicole Nishida of the LA County Sheriff’s Department told CBS2 and KCAL9 reporter Serene Branson that “multiple agencies were looking for the couple. They were armed and dangerous.”

Nishida added, “It’s a great day that we caught these suspects.”

Washington had escaped from Glen Helen Rehabilitation Center in San Bernardino County in August with the help of his wife, authorities said. A few days later, the couple was named as the suspects in a deputy-involved shooting in El Monte.

The deputy suffered a non-life threatening wound and was released the same day.

They also accuse the couple of at least two carjackings.

SeaTac police officers ran the license plate of a blue Subaru station wagon Wednesday about 9 a.m. and discovered it was stolen, King County officials said. When the officer tried to stop the couple, they took off, ramming the officer’s car as they sped away, according to a statement.

Police officers were able to box the suspects in at one point. Tania Washington jumped into the back seat, and her husband got into the driver’s seat and repeatedly rammed the police cars in an attempt to escape, officials said.

When Darnell Washington could no longer move his car, he and his wife were ordered out at gunpoint, police said.

The Subaru was registered to a 55-year-old woman who was found stabbed to death in her home in the city of Hercules, near San Francisco. The couple has not been named as suspects in that murder, but Hercules Police officials say they plan to interview the pair about the crime and why they were in the victim’s stolen car

typical....... complete disregard for life in all forms and of all ages. The word, "brute" comes to mind. But the Californians are reaping their choices. Enjoy the barbarians inside the gates.

They are just victims of racial profiling and the oriental teacher got what she deserved for not sharing the spoils of her work with others.

Animals that prey on society!

Too bad most states have outlawed the death penalty and too bad that stays in prison prior to execution are allowed to go on and on!

A prime reason to have a gun at home and know how to use it. So many home invasions end with the resident beaten, raped and dead. Better to spend a few bucks on lead than be dead!

i am all for quick justice and public hanging. cheap and provides public education.

firing squad would be my second choice and i will even spring for the bullet.

letting homicidal maniacs reside in prisons for years at over $50,000 a pop is stupid.

blessings, bobo

blacks cause a lot of trouble, therefore they get caught and punished a lot more than others. they hardly can get along with each other, given black on black crime is over 90% of their mortality rates.
