Skip to comments.Is this what global warming looks like? Over 2000 new low temperature records set in October

In the continental USA, there were 137 high temperature type records versus 857 low temperature type records this past week , a 6-1 difference. Last week there were 1154 low temperature type records putting the two week total for October at 2011. There were also 24 new snowfall records set this week in the upper plains.
Once again, if this had been summer, and the numbers reversed, youd see Seth Borenstein writing articles for AP telling us this is what global warming looks like. So far not a peep out of Seth on this cold wave and what it is supposed to mean.
(Added) Heres all the October lows plotted by week 1 and week 2 and composited on the US map:
Heres just the lows for the past week plotted on the map:
And here are the total record numbers for this week:
Total number of high temperature type records: 39+98= 137
Total number of low temperature type records: 345+512= 857
|Record Events for Mon Oct 8, 2012 through Sat Oct 13, 2012|
|Lowest Max Temperatures:||512|
|Highest Min Temperatures:||90|
And here are all the temperature records since last Monday plus snowfall records on the map:

I’m fairly certain that these cold spells are predicted by global warming theory.
It’s not a record low, but it was 27 degrees here in Rome, NY on Friday. Heavy frost, and they said light snow fall overnight, but I’m not sure if that occurred. We usually have some snow before Halloween.
It doesn’t matter. No matter what the high are, the lows are, the species endangered, the species recovering, the rivers’ flow ebbing or rising... the Left will say it should have been different, and the reason it isn’t is because of us, and thus we must hamstring our business and industry more (all while the third world vastly increases pollutants by far more than we diminish ours).
LOL. I absolutely certain that all weather is accurately predicted by the Man Made Climate Change Theories in accordance with their models.
They have never been wrong. Just ask them.
Remember, when things don’t go according to what they claim, then change the verbage. First, it wasn’t actually warming up, call it “Climate Change.” *Gasp* it’s not happening EVERYWHERE like they predicted, let’s call it “Localized Climate Change.”
There is no such thing as failure, only new titles...
Seth Borenstein is a political hack trying desparately to act like a science writer. He would not know real science if it smacked him in the head! He used to work for the Orlando Slantinel.
African nations went to the UN to ask for $$$ from Europe and the West to "combat" climate change.
For some reason, you never see a map over China, or in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, Siberia, Mexico, Venezuela, or for that matter Africa itself.
The "climate murderers" seem to all exist only in places with a guilty, gullible population that just can't wait to scream that the sky is falling. And want their citizens to pay up for their sins.
Did this “Watts” moron also note that there were probably several thousand heat records broken over the summer? Many of them into the 90’s and 100’s? Maybe I shouldn’t bring that up since it proves the concept of “global warming”, oh no, wait a minute, that should be “climate change”.
Low temperatures are caused by global warming!
Thanks for the ping.
Expect a cold time along the Appalachians. Georgia to Maine.
At least you are having the snow in the lead in to winter. Just recently, in NSW Australia, it was snowing - in spring. Snowing in sub tropics - yes, that’s global warming for you.
Have a great Halloween.
