This car was designed for the small city roads in India. They would also do very well as small city cars in Italy -- if you go to Rome you'll see tiny cars, but they need to be as the roads were designed 2000 years ago :)

In the US the only markets they have are for inner cities. It would make a lot of sense if one wanted something cheap and small to zip around and parking will be easy!

Perhaps, but on 28Sep12, Obama signed a regulation into effect that ALL cars had to run at 54 mpg by 2025.
