WHAT SHE’S REALLY UP TO: something you miss if you buy the stupid “falling on the sword"..
HillBuzz ^

Posted on 10/16/2012 1:17:59 PM PDT by Perdogg

Hillary Clinton is not a woman who falls on a sword for anyone...but she is someone who knows how to take center stage in the middle of a storm and loudly define herself as the only adult in the room...while all the men around her are emasculated and diminished by her presence. ]

I love words and consider them tiny magical spells if strung together properly into well-crafted sentences. I’m a wordsmith and am fascinated by turns of phrase, especially ones that other conservative writers choose to use that I think are inappropriate in certain situations. Today, Ben Shapiro over at Breitbart.com has an article up where he insists Hillary Clinton “fell on her sword” for Barack Obama; I’ve long thought Ben was the weakest writer they had over there and this cemented that in my mind because while “falling on a sword” is a phrase he’s probably been using since high school (which was not all that long ago for him) it doesn’t really apply to what’s happening regarding Hillary and the Benghazi situation in Libya. Things are far more interesting than that, and “falling on a sword” is not what Hillary did.

I agree with you, Hillary taking responsibility makes her look strong and it makes Obama look like a complete fool, like he does not know what is going on. Furthermore, her taking responsibility gave her the opportunity to remind everyone how much she is in control of. This makes Obama look like a complete puppet and idiot. They did this for the debate.

I heard her “take responsibility” in the sense of reminding everyone that she is ultimately responsible. I didn’t hear her “take responsibility” in the sense of recognizing that she cost a man his life. I didn’t get the impression she was planning to resign in shame.

So I’m leaning with this writer. She is using judo. She is sucking the wind out of O’s sails.

I have no problem with her reminding everyone that he is a nonentity. He is a nonentity. He is a sock puppet.

The problem is that she really is responsible for what happened in Benghazi. She is responsible for the fact that out of all the diplomatic posts in the world with a marine guard this one had none. She is responsible for the fact that, in place of Blackwater for his bodyguards, he had Libyans with no bullets, at least two of whom were Al Qaeda.

Really, in view of this last, I can’t help but get the queasy feeling that he was set up. But thats just me. I hesitate to say that out loud.

Kind of like when liberals apologize: "If anyone was offended...."

That and "I'm sorry you're stupid..."

Hillary's taking charge when Oblamer hides could have the effect of the bus missing Hillary and going right over Oblamer.

Political judo...

As if Biden was an option. He’s been sunk presidentially, though for whatever reason not for any other ambition, since way back when he got caught plagiarizing.

The link worked for me, and my conclusion reading this tripe from Mr. Gay Conservative is that Ben Shapiro must have at one time told him NO!

There’s nothing all that exciting, all that great about Hillary. She’s absolutely transparent. All one has to do to know Hillary is to look at her history from when she first popped onto the scene through now, today. She is so damned obvious the only ones that can’t see through her are idiots.

The woman isn’t brilliant at all. She’s an obvious conniving piece of work that when her lips move anyone should be able to tell she’s either telling a designer whopper, or covering her massive butt from previous such failed whopper’s.

One can go back in her history, and see for themself the obvious fabrications from the mind of Hillary. Let us not forget. From dodging bullets at the airport to the near death experience 9-11-01 in New York for her jogging daughter as just a couple of examples.

I have no sympathy for Hillary at all. She knew the risks of being involved in an Obama administration.

I don’t give her any slack for clinton betraying her either. She totally knew and managed and silenced the women he had affairs with all along. She took it because she was riding him to the top and her own ultimate goals.

No sympathy. Never had sympathy for Elizabeth Edwards for the exact same reasons. You marry a shyster lawyer, you know what kind of a sleaze he is, you take his money, benefit from his sleaziness all the way, NO SYMPATHY.

I believe the author is correct about the timing of that declaration - it serves partially to deflect the criticism due the affair in tonight's debate. To attack 0bama over it is to attack Hillary goes this train of thought. And Hillary isn't there to defend herself, but the moderator is. Cute - Crowley defends Hillary against Romney and 0bama sails above the fray.

He is, of course, directly responsible for the outcome of the decisions of his hand-picked cabinet members including and specifically the Secretary of State. But it becomes easy to avoid the topic by saying that yes, mistakes were made and we're investigating them and now can't we just move on to Bain Capital?

And it doesn't really cost Hillary anything because no investigation will touch her and her authority figure status is validated. That's as close to a win-win situation as one might hope for from a multiple murder aided and abetted at the very least by incompetence and lack of professional diligence at the highest levels. Nor is she in any danger of falling on any metaphorical sword. Her apologia was nothing more than, "Yeah, I was in charge. What are you going to do about it?" The answer is nothing.

About the author: Kevin DuJan Gay conservative political analyst, essayist, author and radio and TV commentator on politics, pop culture, LGBTQ issues, and current events. Pure speculation. Just like every other blogger.

The one thing I got out of this speculative article is that the author had his panties in a wad over Ben Shapiro. Ben may or may not be a good writer. But this guy is not going to supplant Ben or anyone else anytime soon. This part particularly annoyed me:

Let’s first ask ourselves what “falling on a sword” really means. I found a site called The Phrase Finder that defines the idiom as: to commit suicide or offer your resignation.

Has Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton killed herself this morning? No.

Has she resigned as Secretary of State? No.

Therefore, in the most basic sense, running around exclaiming “Hillary’s fallen on her sword!” is just stupid. If you’re doing this, please stop it. And tell Ben Shapiro to stop it, as well.

Has this guy never heard of a metaphor? Does he really think "falling on a sword" has to be literally interpreted? Did Ben turn him down after he made a pass at him?

The author may be absolutely correct in his speculations; but I was too distracted by the anti-Shapiro hissy fit to notice.

Hillary Clinton is forever and always a party first person. She is only clearing the decks to continue the march to destroy America. Dictators are fond of this.

If the author really believes that she should try it in her own writing sometime.

LOL! The author is not a “she”... it’s a bitchy little fudgepacker.

Oh.

Of course, this morning I woke up to about seven messages from my boyfriend Justin’s mother CarolAnne

Well, it wasn't just the effeminate style of rambling chat that confused me. With all of the good women writers out there it did seem a little odd that this one would get any attention. Pole smoker affirmative action explains it all.

I wish somone would refer to what she actually said: She took “responsibility” then blamed “security professionals.”

She parsed sords like a Yale Law grad we all know. Responsibility without accountabillity is double-speak. She admitted nothing: and took blame for nothing.

She cost 4 men their lives and she needs to hold herself accountable and step down immediately. If she is/was that incompetent, then it was Obama's fault for not getting her out of there sooner. He didn't have any problem at all firing Emanuel and Daley. Now, once again, let's see what Congress is going to do about this.
