The untippable motorcycle with 'car-like controls' CLARKE BOWLING Thursday, August 30, 2012

The all-electric, gyroscope-enhanced C-1 from Lit Motors brings the familiar controls of the automobile to the mobility of a motorcycle, all with safety and efficiency in mind.

The San Francisco-based startup hopes to get the vehicle into production by 2014, reports the Detroit News. The electric vehicle will boast a 200 miles per charge driving range, a top speed of 120 mph, and the ability to withstand the impact of a large SUV without tipping over.

But then you look like a two-wheeled spermatazoa.

It should have dimples in it like a golf ball so it flies through the air better when a 4-wheeler launches it into the stratosphere.

It looks very interesting. My only concern is winter. It might make a great summer vehicle.

Not tipping over is a moot point if the collision has punted this right off the road, airborne.

All you have to do is remove the wheels (if still attached) and place the burial pod right into the ground.

The C-1 will have a starting price of $24,000.

No word on the lifespan of the battery, or its' replacement cost.

I'd rather spend the 24G on a Goldwing.

Not only comes with a funeral wreath but it is its own self-contained coffin. No muss, no fuss, just bury it all.

I think it looks kinda cool.

If the Obamadork invests in it - it won’t work - evah.

However, if the dork ignores it...there might be a chance.

... all-electric, gyroscope-enhanced ...

Does that make it a fancy Segway with the wheels front and back instead of on the sides?

"gyroscope-enhanced" sounds like something you would not want for quick maneuverability. Sort of negates much of what riding a bike is all about, unless you are into cruisers or tourers.

Only a matter of time until the infamous "backward" motorcycle is reintroduced. Remember that from that idiot NHTSA twit that Carter or Clintoon hired?

Single seater. No room for groceries. Its a toy. No practical use.

Wonder what the range drops to, when you turn on the AC, heater, and/or electronic gizmos.

And I bet you STILL have to wear a helmet.

If they make it like Kaneda's bike (Akira), I'm all for it!

The styling needs more aggression, imo.
