Nah...I voted for it on the merits of the issue. I hadn't even heard that Tancredo had endorsed it (good for him).
BTW, it's Amendment 64, not 6A.
Until it's one of your loved ones that they crash into.
You are more likely to get hit by a drunk driver, a distracted driver (like texting) or a driver impaired by prescription drugs like Ambient or even just a plain sleepy driver than you are a stoned driver.
Impaired driving is already illegal and legalizing or decriminalizing marijuana will not change that.
You’re right it is 64, I got confused with all the other amendments that i voted N on. Also I like that you vote to throw out all the judges, you vote on a “Throw the bums out” mentality :)
If someone wants to get stoned, go ahead...it’s none of my business any more than if they want to get drunk.
Until it’s one of your loved ones that they crash into.
Impaired driving is already illegal. Infact, I would say legalize pot and make sure that all registered pot smokers live within walkign distance of a 7-11 and cannot get a drivers licese.
Sorry, but by that logic we should also outlaw alcohol and ammunition...that way they wouldn't be heavily taxed and regulated.
Would I prefer legalization that didn't include heavy taxation & regulation? Sure...but that's not the choice I was given for which to vote. Kind of like Romney in that respect. He wasn't my first choice, but now he's the only (realistic) choice I have.
BTW, you didn't answer my question: Are you in favor of Prohibition? If not, why not?
Nothing like getting broadsided in your car by a stoned driver... But you voted for it so its your decision.
There's also nothing like getting broadsided in your car by a drunk driver (a far greater threat, BTW)...but I wouldn't vote to make alcohol illegal.
Would you? If not, why not?
