However, I’m still not too sure I wasn’t the subject of her dissertation.

Hey, I read the journal article, and we are watching...closely.

Vitamin H is our friend.

The TRINITY is a blessing.

Now THAT went over the heads of 95% of the crowd.

Depends on the type of steel, the caliber, type of ammunition and angle. With the right ammo the 5.56 will easily go through a 1/4 in steel plate.

Steel targets are usually hardened steel and since they move they don’t absorb the energy, they deflect it.

The point is that unless you live in a home made of solid concrete or have 1/2 inch of hardened steel most bullets fired at your home will find their way inside. In a TSHTF scenerio the normal home does not provide adequate protection.

I’ll easily give people a little something but I won’t let them steal it. Of course I’d only be giving away a little rice and beans which I have for barter.

Nope, but average isn't everyone. It did, however, nearly kill me. Nothing 2 weeks in intensive care and a year of recovery couldn't fix.

You didn't address the percentage of population required for agriculture 200 years ago vs today.

Old timey methods of agriculture were very labor intensive. You aren't producing anti-biotics or going to school when you are weeding a field by hand.

As I said before, read up about Norman Borlaug. He was responsible for the lives of literally billions of people. Including you and me.

Going back to the old ways would mean the death of billions. Literally.

I forgot to mention that 'organic' farming methods like they used 200 years ago required 3 times the land for the same output as agribusiness uses today.

Personally, I'd like for there NOT to be a massive population die off. The more people we have, the more geniuses we have. And we need smart folks. Lots of 'em.

Good luck with that. I've been dropped in the pot. As I recall, it looked nothing like that picture.

I'll admit it's not an "optimal" plan, but it's the one I can afford (If I can find a good horse!).

Is that a Molly Hatchet album cover? Sure looks like one.

That's a Frank Frazetta cover for one of the old "Conan the Barbarian" paperbacks (which I still have around here somewhere in my book collection).

Well for sure it’s the same artist that did the Molly Hatchet (70’s/80,s southern rock) covers. Interesting work.

Frank Frazetta is/was an extremely popular fantasy artist in the 60's-70's (or thereabouts). Do a search on 'Frazetta' on Google images and you'll see much of his rather impressive body of work.

Yes, I was, in fact ... kidding.

I will never jest on another prepper thread.

Everyone seems way too excited at the prospect of killing me. Should the SHFT...as a single female, I will be driving... (with my useful items)...to my family’s house in the country (about 20 miles away).

I read some of the posts... but hadn’t been online for a few days.

I don’t care if you find my joke to be suspect. I find you to be unreasonably heavy-handed in your condemnation...

Enough to say, “Get a grip.”

And I find you unduly imprudent with your words on a serious subject and without understanding that your words matter.
