But if Wildcats and Ducks both win out..and look at who Oregon will have beaten..I can't see K-state jumping them...

Who will they have beaten if K-State wins out? TCU, Oklahoma, West Virginia, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Texas. Check the rankings on them and compare that with Oregon's opponents.

Well Missouri is still learning, so I’ll give them a pass.

LOL, I wonder if Tennessee would now take Fat Phil back.

This was the same Mizzou team that said the SEC played old man football. Don't give them a pass, they don't deserve it. Mizzou will make Kentucky and Vanderbilt look like football powerhouses before they're through. If Missouri never saw the inside of a bowl game again without first buying a ticket then I'd die a happy man.

Well that other recent addition, Texas A&M, may very well be competing for an SEC Title before too long.

The Aggies are doing better than Mizzou, but I don’t see them knocking off the Alabamas and LSUs any time soon.

A&M is reaping the benefits of jumping to the SEC, they are already starting to make inroads into UT’s recruiting dominance in the State. And unlike UT, they actually have a coaching staff that knows how to coach them up. I think Manziel could win the Heisman before he is done in College Station.

The SEC is the Obama of the NCAA. No matter what they do, the media will root for them.

Unlike Obama, the SEC PERFORMS! LSU crushed Washington who beat Stanford who beat USCw. Bama crushed Meatchicken. A one loss SEC > an undefeated non-SEC team.

A&M is reaping the benefits of jumping to the SEC, they are already starting to make inroads into UT’s recruiting dominance in the State.

For a lot of players (outside of those players who already had ties to A&M), recruiting is driven by wins and rankings, and no offense, but from 2001 - 2011 A&M really stunk it up (71 wins, 64 losses overall, 41 wins, 48 losses in conference, compared to Oklahoma and Texas each putting up 110+ wins overall and 65+ conference wins). Players don't care about the past glory days either, otherwise A&M could have had top talent year in and year out (and OU would have the top Texas recruits every single year).

Good news. Texas is in danger of sliding into a mediocre 8-5 program, and as of this week, Mack Brown has blamed the Big 12 for being too tough, has blamed the media, has blamed the fans, and is even blaming the weather in November and December for future losses.

Texas has had 5-7 and 8-5 seasons the last two years, and if we get another crappy 8-5 season (fingers crossed as I see at least two more losses), then A&M might be able to nab a few recruits that UT might have gotten otherwise, assuming Texas Tech doesn't do something crazy and win out.

If A&M can pick up a few more solid recruits this year, and if two of the following implode - Georgia, Alabama, Florida, or LSU, they might be able to string some 9-win seasons together and you'll see recruiting rise a bit.

If they end up being just a mid-level SEC team with the top 3-4 SEC teams beating them every year, they'll get the same recruits they got when they were a mid-level Big 12 team. Some years that will help a lot, some years it won't.

Texas does not deserve to be in the Top 25 of any polls. Two losses in a row to West Virginia and OU, followed by Baylor hanging 50 points on us. No, this is a "rebuilding" season (we've been rebuilding for two years now). I'm not on the fire Mack Brown bandwagon, but if the trend continues Brown has worse stats than R.C. Slocum, John Mackovic, Franchioni, Akers, Mike Sherman, and Darrel K. Royal in their last three seasons.

A national championship bought him a lot of good will, but back-to-back blowouts against the damned land thieves from Norman has wiped out a lot of that good will among many fans. He's got the administration backing him now, but if we see another blowout in the Cotton Bowl against the Okies next year, he's done.

I’d say USC is the McCain of football because they usually end up kicking their own supporters in the groin (by losing a game they were suppose to win and thus end championship talk) and the media acts like they like them until the first sign of trouble or something more exciting comes along.

We, of the SEC, can’t help it if the other divisions can’t play football.............SECond to NONE!.........

We, of the SEC? So, which SEC team do you play football for? Or are you just projecting your fantasy of playing SEC college football?

Since the beginning of this football season, quite a few in the sports media had been hoping for, and searching for a BCS champion not from the SEC. Most of the ESPN Game Day guys predicted Alabama to lose two or more games, and USC was a favorite in Week 1.

There has been quite a lot of searching for a champion not from the SEC, but that search looks more and more futile with each succeeding weekend of college football. Some were even beginning to promote West Virginia until they visited Texas Teach and the illusions came crashing down, and even more so after a visit from KSU.

And now many of the searchers are turning to KSU. Snyder does remarkable job there, but his teams are yet to defeat any top programs outside the Big 12. The searchers will continue to search, but I think we’ll see the seventh consecutive champ from the SEC in late January.

If KSU was to somehow lose a game or two, OU could pop right back up in the BCS fight. Nobody realized the Notre Dame game would be so important when it was originally scheduled.

But I think KSU will win out and take on Alabama.

And Snyder is a miracle worker. Remarkable doesn't begin to describe what he does with the limits he has.
