Trump on Letterman

TOPICS: Business/Economy
KEYWORDS: politics
Comments appreciated.

Did 0bama cross Letterman???

I thought Letterman was very warm to Trumps latest deal, and open to questions of 0bamas past.

Do other freepers agree??

Obama went on his show and lied through his teeth about Benghazi. I know we all complain about the liberal media including Letterman but, at some point even they get pissed about being ‘played.’ Perhaps Letterman was offended and now he’s taking it out on Obama.

Perhaps ? maybe ? Hillary will resign the Wednesday before the election and say that with a clear conscience that she can not endure anymore pressure from this administration to continue to cover up this Benghazi scandal.

I’d be more willing to believe that Trump has something disgusting planned. I have never trusted that weird haired bastard.

He might be ticked off about being dissed by Michelle Malkin.

...isn’t it odd there was no blow back towards Letterman from the liberal entertainment group, the liberal media,...no condescending remarks from the WH?.....nothing

While I like Michelle Malkin and all that she does for the conservative movement I also know that she is NO fan of the questioning of Obama's eligibility. She has compared those who support Sherrif Joe and his wanting to get to the bottom of Obama's sealed documents with the 911 Truthers.

She is no fan of the so called "Birther" movement.

Some of what was said.

Letterman asked why do you want to see Obama’s college records?

Trump - “transparency” for one.

Letterman presses for more,

Trump - “Places of Birth”

Letterman You do believe Obama was born here?

Trump: I don’t know.

The 5 million dollar Trump offer comes up for Obama to show his records. A great deal Trump says for Obama.

Disturbing info...and I verified this, it is true. Malkin attacking Sheriff Joe and his posse is beyond Anti-Birther...it is Obama Supporter

Had we took Obama Eligibility seriously, this election would be a landslide for Romney...instead, this race is tight.

Sounds like Turmp just may be right about Malkin, as well as Obama

Donald Trump is an idiot....! Period.

It wans’t Michelle Malkin that donated to and supported Obama in 2008, Trump did.

It wasn’t Michelle Malkin that donated money to Hillary Clinton, Weiner, “Dingy” Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, and Ted Kennedy. Donald Trump did....!

You still wanna hitch ur wagon to Trump or stay and support the “TRUE” conservatie voice, Michelle Malkin. She may not agree or support the “birther” movement but she is a “TRUE” conservative. Trump could care less, Trump is for Trump...PERIOD..! He’d sell his own mother for a nickel and he’d sell American for far less....!

Ahh, that now makes sense. Letterman once referenced, IIRC, that both Trump &Letterman were the “straight shooters” (????)

David let Trump put out his goals, thoughts, and questions of 0bamas past without challenge. Sure there were jokes, but I got a weird sense that Letterman was respectfull of Trumps thoughts questions concerning 0bama.
Then again, i was ready to fall asleep.

THANKS

Mallon is in the media bubble a bit. They hate the eligibility issue.

Overall she’s been a solid conservative voice. She does get quite upset on Hannity. She married? Comes across a bit on edge all the time.

I'm sorry, I don't believe it would make an iota of difference.
His most supporters are rabid. There is nothing he could do to shake their allegiance. (Maybe wiping his face with a handkerchief and the brown comes off)
The others would say something like.."He was President for 4 yrs. and nothing bad happened. So what he doesn't meet the letter of the law."
"The Constitution is a living document and needs to keep up with the times."

I fell asleep around midnight, thats why i asked for others impression.
1) Dave appologized for calling Trump a r@ci5t. Then explained only dummies are r@ci5t, and Donald continues to be a very smart man and cannot be a r@ci5t
2) Lettermans body language and attitude suggested he was open and receptive and respectful to whatever Trump proposed. No pushback, no takover, no challenge (ie. The newspaper birth announcement) no insinuation.
3) Fun and joking were part of the segment, but not to attack Donalds 5 million $ deal, or Donalds beliefs.
4 ) Donald was able to communicate we know NOTHING about 0bamas past
5) I got the sense Letterman agreed this is a legit pursuit. Letter man did not throw out belittleing words like birther.

Then again, i was sleepy, so i reached out for other opinions

In that case I'll take Bibi or Nigel Farage.

She’s definitely expresses her opinons in colorful terms and that’s just one of the things I admire about her.

It is my understanding that she is divorced, not sure but it seems I read that somewhere.

Donald Trump’s on words, I’ll let you decide whether or not he supported Obama: “I was his biggest cheerleader,” the multibillionaire businessman told Sean Hannity on his Fox TV show Tuesday night. “If you go back three years, I’m saying, ‘Do a great job.’ I wanted him to do a great job. I still want him to do a great job.”

Donald has always talked out both sides of his mouth. If I were a betting man, I’d bet a dollar to a donut that he gave money to the Obama campaign one way or the other. He always plays both sides....!

Here a few other things on Trump that may/may not suprise you:

“Trump may have trouble explaining to conservatives why, if he’s against Obamacare (oops, sorry Debbie Wasserman-Schultz), why did he contribute money to the re-election campaign of Anthony Weiner, one of the health care bill’s self-proclaimed authors?”

“If Trump’s against gun control (or corruption for that matter), why the contribution to Charles Rangel, who rates an “F” on gun rights from the NRA (as does Weiner and others on The Donald’s donation list)?”

“Trump says he’s pro-life, but has given money to Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer — two politicians who make thrills go up NARAL’s leg.”

“Trump’s contributed money to the campaigns of Frank Lautenberg, Ted Kennedy, Patrick Kennedy, Harry Reid, Arlen Specter and Dick Durbin — so much for the “lower taxes” concern. Could a true “conservative” have brought himself to sign any of those donation checks without slitting his wrists with the pen afterwards?”

You can go to townhall.com to see the whole artile.

I found a clip of this and the thing I found most interesting - other than Letterman having an actual, non-snarky conversation with Trump - was that the audience clapped after Trump said "Transparency!"

When Letterman's audience wants to know about 0's background, it's become mainstream.

They mean anyone should be able to run for election and anyone should be able to vote.
