Effect of Hurricane on election. Thoughts?

Posted on 10/26/2012 9:28:11 AM PDT by ObozoMustGo2012

Fox News is saying this will be a huge s**tstorm, and has the potential of knocking out power for 7-10 days depending on the severity, and I would imagine knock out power to voting machines (or zap them to vote all of Obama :-) j/k) I was also reading an article on Politico which emphasized the effect on "suppressing" early voting (yay!!!), but also put Obama in the light of being "the hero" in responding to a major emergency (to make up for Benghazi)? Speaking of which, the storm might also take the coverup out of the headlines and ppuch it to the second page.

What does everyone else think? (an no, I am not a dhimmicrat troll!)

Well, let’s put it this way. If I have to strap my ass to my truck on a tether to get me from the truck to inside for the polls, I will.

My personal estimation that very bad weather will deter lazy entitlement voters to stay home - because they are LAZY!

I’d crawl through hell to vote against that SOB.

He wouldn’t be seen as a hero if he follows his pattern of only helping blue states.

Think about the effects on places like camden, philly, atlantic city.

The populations of these cities can’t take care of themselves in good weather.

By the way, one of the big reasons people did not evacuate new orleans was it was too close to the first of the month. They either didn’t have any money or they weren’t going to take a chance on missing their check.

Bless you. I tend to think that everyone who feels the same way will do the same. And historically, it is a proven fact that what you said is correct.

They do not vote in foul weather.

A big storm would almost certainly benefit Obama. He can’t be blamed for the storm, and will no doubt be completely ready for it because of all the good press it can generate for him because he gets to run around being “presidential”.

Believe me, the Democrats are hoping this thing hits the East Coast.

Alex Jones is freaking out about this....

He thinks they are controlling the hurricane to kill all power across the northeast around election day to declare a “national emergency” so he can steal the election...

When did Obama get Bush's hurricane controlling machine?

I will gladly donate the use of my generator to our voting place to keep them running, Heck I'll even buy the gas.

Yes it would, they could claim a blowout for Romney in the Northeast was caused by the storm and could make a very effective case for a “re-vote” to the american people which would be ran with rampant fraud....

Having been through many hurricanes with days without power, I can tell you for sure that storm victims rarely have anything good to say about the current gov’t.

People are miserable, stressed, & have little patience for BS politicians. If Obama goes into bragging mode about helping the people w/o power while many are still w/o power, then he will make a lot of enemies.

I do not see how Obama can possibly profit politically from the storm. There just is no good that can accrue to anyone so close to the election. If that storm makes landfall on Tuesday, by election day the victims will be at the height of their misery. Federal assistance will take AT LEAST a week to even get started, & they rarely have any impact on power restoration. Standing in long lines for ice, MREs, & water will NOT persuade anyone to vote for Obama.

All in all, Obama has everything to lose from the storm, with little to gain. A poor response from him will doom his reelection, while even a Herculean effort from him will get little appreciation.

A big storm would almost certainly benefit Obama ...

Believe me, the Democrats are hoping this thing hits the East Coast.

I will proceed carefully here, so as to NOT being taken out of context ...

First ... "if" the hurricane strikes the East Coast mega-metropolitan areas hard ...

and then moves north-west up into New England ...

then local Voter Turn-Out may be suppressed, certainly amonst Obama's Inner-City Mostly Welfare Black and Hispanic "people" (as Eric Holder calls them) ...

as well as the liberal-indoctrinated "educated" Teacher Union Anarchist 99-Percent loons ...

But strategically ... the hurricane is a political disaster for Obama's Moslem Government-in-Occupation ...

WHY ?

Because the rest of America ... especially the undecided voters in Fly-Over Country ...

will watch in abject DISGUST as the looting and rioting begin ... and continues for days ...

Americans have almost desperately wanted "racial reconciliation" since Dr. King's murder in 1968 ...

We made sure that the Colin Powells, Dutch Morials (New Orleans), and scores of other ... otherwise incompetent ... minorities were "pushed" into America's political seats of power ...

Many ... like Allen West and Condi Rice ... are superbly qualified ... but many, including ... "The Kenyan" have been GREAT disappointments ...

Historians will look back (decades from now) at America's FAILED attempt to Politically Exorcise the specter of a "White Racist America".

Obama ... in his COMPLETE STUPIDITY thought America wanted "him" .... as an individual Kenyan who was a closet Moslem who was a silver-spooned Affirmative Action Black "God-Child" ...

What a fool !

White America was attempting to pay-off a "blood-debt" owed to Dr. Martin Luther King ...

and didn't give a flip about this "Bravo-Sierra" CON-ARTIST SLUMHOUSE SOCIALIST LAWYER from Chicago's South Side.

Period.

That's why ... in November 2012 ... after his INCREDIBLY PATHETIC Presidentcy ...

Obama has LOST-LOST-LOST the "Whitey Racial Guilt" political crowd ... forever ...

It will be DECADES before another African-American is elected President of the United States ...

Obama has been that horrible ... and a racist to boot.

The real political hurricane of the 2012 Presidential Election has been blowing (unreported by the liberal media) across America's fruited plains ...

EVERY DAY for FOUR YEARS now ...

at first just a stiff breeze ...

and today a HOWLING STORM that says HELL NO to the Socialist Aspirations of Barrack Obama ... Bill Ayres .... Rev. Jeremiah Wright ...

and then to take that "hell no" and someone take a boot and kick-it up the bowels of these political cockroaches ...

who would LOVE to see Americans enslaved in a African-style hellhole of cosmic proportions.

Americans will see ... via hurricane Sandy ... more of RACIST killing, looting, rioting, murder ...

going back to the L.A. Rodney King riots ...

and the political cesspool AKA New Orleans during hurricane Katrina ...

You & I live on different worlds. See my post #15 as to why.

Since when is Obama completely ready for anything beyond a round of golf? Certainly not Benghazi.

Since when has Obama been concerned about anything beyond getting reelected? I fully expect him to delegate responsibility of dealing with the storm damage to some bureaucrat who gives even less of a damn than Obama. Add in gross incompetence, political correctness, & laziness, giving a poor response, at best.

Obama is not a doer, he's a talker. The last thing storm victims will want to here is empty promises. The last thing Obama will do is improve the situation.

Things get deadly serious in the cold & dark. Big Bird & birth control quickly lose their importance. Obama’s pretty talk will be a big turnoff to the victims.

One thing's for sure...Osama Obama will have every darn rescue type person, including the Girl Scouts (but not the Boy Scouts, they're homophobes),deployed in VA and NC and will make sure that every news camera on earth films them. And then he'll include those films in campaign ads nationwide.

It randomizes a bunch of states that are considered locks for Obama. For example, if New York City gets slammed and upstate New York just gets heavy rain, New York flips to Romney.

Admittedly, swing states like Virginia and Ohio get affected too. But people with pickups and SUVs can still get to the polls. Guess what party affiliation dominates that group?

As long as Obama wins...power outages or inability to vote won’t matter. Republican will accept the outcome as they always do.

BUT, should Obama lose...I think the combination of an Obama loss and ANY reason to question the validity of the outcome (Sandy preventing ability to vote) will be used to cause complete chaos and civil unrest.

Makes me think of the “snow bomb” nor’easter that stalled out over southeastern North Carolina for several days in 2000. I’m up near the VA border north of Greensboro and “only” got a foot. Large areas of the state got two feet, some areas on the coast got well over two feet, roofs were collapsing, next to no snow removal equipment because it’s so seldom needed. National Guard time.
