Seeking Election Night Snack Food Advice
Self | October 26, 2012 | PJ-Comix

Posted on 10/26/2012 2:35:56 PM PDT by PJ-Comix

Okay, the Coupon Stars have properly aligned again so I can get pretty much any food I want for FREE for the next few weeks. I already have a bottle of Grey Goose Vodka which I traded for in my South Florida Barter King guise and will supplement that with iced coffee in order to stay awake until late at night watching the returns.

So what snack food would go good with these drinks? I don't want anything too heavy. Just light and fun to eat. Sushi sounds like a good idea but what else? I am open to suggestions.

Good one!!!

I am thinking....maybe... lobster, homemade mashed potatoes with truffle oil, a salad with some blue cheese sprinkle thingeys and my mother-in-law’s homemade poundcake- all served in a hot pink or bright orange melanine school cafeteria lunch tray I recently bought- in honor of the First Fata$$ and her policies that leave American children malnourished and hungry.

Oh, and popcorn (made in the popcorn cart hubby recently bought me) as a snackey-poo while the votes are being tallied.

Cheese stuffed Jalepeno peppers dipped in extra hot salsa.

Sorry I no longer have any Prevacid coupons.

Bacon sandwiches on toast.

Toast because that's what O is now, and bacon for mussies.

Treated myself to a tin of smoked oyster earlier today! Finished off a jar of pickled herring a couple of days ago ... it’s all GOOD!

I’ve had champagne waiting for months.
Ready to pop the cork and celebrate that night.

Home popped popcorn made on the stove with coconut oil and lightly salted with sea salt, is my snack of choice.

I am expecting the miracle I’ve been praying for.

Wisconsin can be won by R&R.

I shall hear the wailing from nearby Madistan,WI.

I will watch the lib satellite channels to see how Ed, Rachel, Chrissy, and the rest of them are doing.

: )

Get a dozen large shrimp and butterfly / clean them.

Put a small dab of cream cheese in the butterfly cut along with a *sliver* of jalapeño.

Find some THIN bacon strips and wrap the shrimp with it.

Grill over a hot fire and baste with your favorite BBQ sauce.

If you want parasites, go with the sushi. They’re in even the healthiest of fish.

I suggest a chip bonanza, augmented with regular cheetos. Nacho doritos, cool ranch doritos, a good lighter potato chip like the kettle cooked versions of lay’s reduced fat, even the classic fritos could be good. Every hour can have a highlighted chip.

I figured somebody else would suggest buffalo wings, pretty common snack food.

Make some quesedillas, with bacon, cheese, scallions and jalapenos. Side with sour cream and lettuce. A bit on the heavy side (the cheese will make your stomach work), but quite yummy.

Saucy dogs is easy. A package of lil smokey links, cut up an onion, a bag of small carrots, ketchup, honey, BBQ sauce, brown sugar hang out together in a crock pot for the day.

If you like fried potatoes, try cubed spuds (I cube 'em then microwave them 'til near cooked) and onion, fried in lots of butter with whatever salt and pepper you like. I use a pretty healthy dose of cayenne pepper when I make the dish. Comfort food!

I expect MSNBC & CNN to have large viewership as many conservatives will want to see their meltdown.

I only wish Olbermann were still on MessNBC. To watch him, Madcow, Schultz, and whatever other liberals they can scrape up, going nuclear, I cherish the thought!

I live to drink their tears... they nourish me.
