The front has sped up outside of model projections — if you look out your window, you will agree. I believe Sandy still has the potential to be a fish storm.

How can they predict that it will suddenly take a sharp left turn? I am a hurricane prediction noob; it seems so random to just turn left. Is it the water temp or current? Or something else?

There is a powerful jetstream dipping down out of Canada, crossing the midwest and then turning north and going back to Canada up along the Appalachians. As Sandy comes up the east coast along the Atlantic, at some point the powerful currents of the jet stream will “suck” Sandy off the ocean and pull her toward PA / OH. That’s the sharp left turn that seems to comes out of nowhere.

What they are making this “storm” out to be is a fake. It is NOT the huge storm they are making it out to be. Yes i was HERE for katrina and BP(and BP oil disaster was no disaster where is it now so bp was a big fake). Katrina was a real storm with 41 foot storm surge , thousands dead,175 mile per hour winds. Compare this “storm” to that .
