I posted a thread yesterday with a video about economics. I did not see anything objectionable to this post and now it's gone!!!
Dear Moderator, Could I be given a reason as to why?
This has happened in the past and as I know that this is a private site when a thread is deleted would it not be a bit more polite to notify the poster as to why?

I recently posted an article from NRO, which was then excerpted with some cryptic remark from the Moderator about LA Times, despite the fact that AFAIK NRO has no restrictive policy about excerpting.
I really think it would be polite to inform posters and other readers as to the reason when a change is made.
Obviously Jim has every right to run his site any way he pleases, but transparency as to how the rules are applied would be appreciated.
I see the mods have answered you. when I have had a thread pulled I usually got a short “no thanks”, “duplicate” or a “never do that again!” haha.

I enjoyed your post. It was essentially my macro Economics 101 class 20 years ago in 6 minutes.
My guess is that the first popup asked about equality for all, which is about marriage rights for gays. A subject that is not supported at FR.
It may have been that the subject wasn’t partisan enough. Or maybe the guy who pulled it did it for another reason. But leaving a reason for pulling (duplicate, banned site, pro-gay, etc) would be nice.
FR is not a free for all and some subjects don’t cut it. Keep posting.
