One of those Benghazi Drones Had to Have Been Armed

Posted on 10/29/2012 4:15:15 AM PDT by chopperman

Bret Baier asked a Dem Senator, who would have known, a simple 'yes or no' question on this and that man totally dodged the question. Coupled with the report that a Seal was painting targets, we can reach only one conclusion.

I thought I read early on that no action was taken because they would be violating Libya’s sovereignty.

Sovereignty should only belong to states that provide security.

Hmm, why was there a drone overhead at all? Who ordered the launch from Sigonella? What was known for at least hours before the attack?

Gee, could the national command authority have known that an attack was scheduled?

I was under the impression they said they didn’t want to violate their airspace. I would think a drone overhead is no different than a spooky as far as airspace violation.

The embassy is US soil. So if the drone was over the embassy it was in US air space

Maybe I should have said an AC-130 spectre Gunship. In Vietnam we lovingly called it the Spook, to watch it light up a tree line about 200 meters out is a sight to behold, just gives ya that warm fuzzy feeling.

Damn straight! As soon as our flag was taken down and we knew that our people were lost, they should have leveled the place (all rioters and insurgents included).

Today Obama is going to Washington to monitor the Hurricane. If he does no more for the hurricane than he did after he monitored out Ambassador getting killed , he may as well fly out to Las Vegas.

I thought I read early on that no action was taken because they would be violating Libya’s sovereignty.

If that is the case, it makes me wonder if our drones received special dispensation, otherwise they would have been in violation of Libyan air space.

Didn’t he violate Libyan airspace when they were bombing the crap out of Gaddafi?

Square peg in a round hole, again.

This air space excuse is a BULL S. Who gave the OK to fly a charter from Tripoli to Bengazi? We had time to send a bunch of hack contractors to Bengazi but not Delta. WHY? Because we didn’t want the military to see what was going on on the ground.

Now they care about sovereignty? They didnt seem to mind while flying helicopters into Pakistan to get OBL. Remember, they didnt inform the Paki’s.

The attack on an Ambassador is the key - that is an act of war.

Regardless of airspace or soil, there is always an attempt to save embassy staff.

And such rescue is entirely justified if an embassy comes under attack.

That is why U.S. Presidents have always given the authorization for the military to save embassy staff when they are in peril.

This admin has seemed to have no problem with airspace issues when it comes to Pakistan and Yemen.
