We really don’t know what the speed limit is for initial expansion of the universe, and as far as escaping from a miniscule blackhole, tunneling is fine ~ and we absolutely have no idea what happens when that universe begins expanding and the blackhole empties to fill it ~ could be it does so very rapidly ~ in milliseconds perhaps ~ however wide that blackhole is if it empties at just the speed of light it would seem like an explosion to you and I.
It was fairly assumed that the folks smart enough to read knew all the written words and could pull them out of the miasmic background easily.
