When former Secretary of State Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama for president, Romney campaign chair John Sununu dismissed it as just a black man standing up for one of his tribe.
That racial gibe fits a campaign with a yawning racial divide: Obama is struggling among white working-class men, while Romney has essentially abandoned any effort to win the votes of African Americans and Latinos.
Someone should talk to the skilled, largely white, workers at Sensata Technologies Inc. about that. They work for a hugely profitable company owned by Romney’s Bain Capital. Bain is moving the jobs to China.

Jesse wants Obama back in the White House cause he knows when he leaves he’s coming to take Jesse’s job as Race Baiter-In-Chief.
How about giving a well-deserved oration for the dead ambassador Stevens and dead NAVY SEALS who died for the sake of trying to protect the people in the embassy?
Obama dropped any connection with “the white middle class”, LAST YEAR!
Therefore, he has NOT worked ‘for all American’!
Surely, those that would benefit from a free cellphone, a guaranteed welfare check, an easy acceptance into the the food stamp program, and other grasshopper/lazy man’s worth, but NOT ‘all Americans’.
It was worth signing up with the SunTimes just to leave the following comment:
Oh, really, Mr. Jackson? I couldn’t disagree with you more. Funny how you preach about civility yet indulge in the same old liberal lies about Romney and his campaign. You claim it’s not about race, yet have no problem overlooking the myriad failures of this administration, preferring to protect the brother instead. And you must be high to even offer this up in the first place, with your personal history of corporate blackmail and racial intimidation. Here’s some real news: America is sick and tired of you playing the race card, your account has been suspended. If you speak honestly and objectively about this administration, instead of resorting to racial self-identification as the primary factor in this election, perhaps you could earn some of your lost credibility back?
