Did Obama Err in Claiming Ownership of the Storm? (vanity)
Vanity

Posted on 11/01/2012 6:25:53 PM PDT by TigerClaws

First, thoughts and prayers to our fellow Americans suffering great loss and to those providing relief and comfort.

A Dem operative was reported shortly after the hurricane, "We're going to shove this storm up Romney's a**."

Now that Obama has claimed control over managing the aftermath, power outage, gas lines, no food, and the chaos of any storm belongs to him. Any negative story now reflects back on Obama.

Will his "look presidential" strategy backfire? Or will te Drive by media cover for him?

With the help of MSM, Obama will be able to get through this up to the election. If he wins, he won’t care about negatives from any of this......... if he loses, he won’t care what is happening to those folks.

I passed by a television today, which had on CNN.

In the graphic below scenes from the flood, were words like “Help is not getting through” or some such.

These words were up for the approx. 15 minutes I was near that television.

My first thoughts were 2, which I bet were very common reactions:

1) This reminds me of Katrina
2) This CAN’T be good for Obama

It looks to me that he bit off more than he can chew prior to the election.
Probably more than he can chew prior to Romney’s inauguration.

The answer to your title question is a BIG FAT YES.

The poop is hitting the fan already. I've been predicting that by this weekend, the accumulated rage of citizens who have been out of food, water, heat, gasoline and power will be boiling over.

The MSM can hardly ignore it, the way they're ignoring Benghazi.

But look for Team Obama to deflect any blame. At that point, however, Obama ceases to "look presidential."

Obama OWES everything that goes wrong with storm delays, mismanagement, witlessness. By placing himself in the center of things, assuming the mantle of the Grand Savior of the Northeast Who Will Make Everything All Better and Wonderful, he can only look inept, and out of touch with the realistic and possible.

People are cold, dirty, and facing enormous personal losses. They will become angry, and they will focus their anger and wrath upon the would-be Grand Savior of the Northeast.

NJ was hit hard but why does obama choose to visit the 1% with their million dollar beach mansions instead of the middle class communities on Staten island and in bklyn/queens. I think half the deaths are from Staten but still no “official” assistance. The community has rallied and the local response has been inspiring but nobody from the govt can claim to have helped at all.

Obama thinks he can change things by reading from a script. He may say the right things, but he lacks a complete understanding of the real world. Surviving disasters starts with planning and personal responsibility. From that, people help their neighbors.

The people that are in need who are depending on Obama and government will be sorely disappointed and potentially will suffer and some will even the lose their lives. I am positive there will be some starving liberal idiot that will die with his hand held out waiting for someone to take action, and it won’t happen.

Government isn’t motivated the same way as you would be to save the life of a family member or neighbor. Government is a crude, brute force that has no deep feelings for individuals. The collective, yes; but you, your family, or your neighbor, NO.

Obama is in deep crap from now to Election Day.

MSM was non stop Bush bashing after the local officials (Dem governor and mayor) completely dropped the ball.

Now MSM “why isnt the President doing anything” mantra is on Obama.

Apparently there is a possibility of another storm hitting the area next week. I was looking at the Washington Post, but the news is reported elsewhere, also.

“...NOR’EASTER POSSIBLE FOR MID-ATLANTIC/NEW ENGLAND STATES BY ELECTION DAY INTO NEXT THURSDAY...”

I worry for the people without power/heat. If the temperature drops, the situation could be very dangerous.

A snowstorm in the middle of this mess would be horrible.

Wonder if there are mass evacuation plans?

The food in the dumpsters will be gone by tomorrow. Things could get interesting in the disaster zone by election day.

Regardless, there will be a few weak minded voters who will support Obama. Hopefully, it will not be a majority of weak minded people.........
