Just another day in Obamaville.

I think the Liberals call it Shared Sacrifice.

Cold, Misery, Starvation, Thirst = Cancel the Marathon. Both sides feel the pain.

I shared that with some friends. They *loved it*, but noted you forget to include taking credit for “new jobs created”.

I’ve got no sympathy what soever. It’s not like they didn’t know it was coming. Being unprepared is expected by the entitlement crowd... “government will provide”.

I partly agree with your statement. But it isn't always entitlement mentality that leads some to be insufficiently prepared.

For some people it is just plain denial. They simply refuse to believe that this "can happen here."

And for others, they have never envisioned the possibility of loss of things they have always known. For example, someone I know always pooh-poohs suggestions he should stockpile potable water, non-perishables, and a supply of water for flushing toilets.

He doesn't even seem to understand where tap water comes from. I warned him that if the power fails --and then if municipal generators run out of gas-- there will be no running water! He seemed surprised to learn this.

This person is very conservative and very intelligent, and has no entitlement mentality whatsoever; but he has never given much thought to where ordinary things like tap water come from.
