Expect sabotage from the Federal Bureaucracy, as we saw under the Bush EPA and CIA, but even more. Obama has been funneling leftists into the Federal Government with a fire hose.

One of my doubts about Romney is whether he recognizes this and whether he'll have the cojones to fire zillions of Lefties in the Federal Government. Bush did not. Part of his failure as President...

Precisely. This is something that has bothered me ever since it became clear that Romney would be the Republican nominee, and therefore, the de facto 45th president.

If Romney leaves Obama's federal appointees in place throughout his administration, he may as well kiss a second term and any hope of restoring America good bye. His authority and agenda will be undermined and sabotaged in thousands of different ways from day one.

I know how much he's spoken of 'working across the aisle', but that had better be a bunch of campaign blather, uttered to soothe the nerves of the independents. He's got to adopt the exact opposite tone as soon as he's sworn in, if he intends to actually take command as a president should. The leftists, both appointed and elected, will do everything they can to stop him.

We just back from a 6 week/5000 mile trip through 12 states and I tried to count the Obama signs. It was pretty easy...the only ones I saw were yard signs in south Georgia in small towns. I counted under 20 in all during the entire trip. Made me hopeful!

"Somethings going on ..."

There is a bizarre quality to the atmosphere ... somethings .... there's a kind of hush all over the world tonite ... maybe has something to do with those rays that the govment is beaming at people out of the TV set ... or from the auto headlights on high beam ... it was weird ... I went door-to-door in the bellweather precinct in CT ... the bellweather for the whole country and everyone was undecided and they had no questions or issues that they wanted to know and nobody was home all afternoon.

Maybe everyone went to a college football game. Somebody been watching Outer Limits or that other show or listening to Art Bell.

Call out the instigator
Because there’s something in the air
We’ve got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution’s here

And you know it’s right
And you know that it’s right
We have got to get it together
We have got to get it together now

Run through the fields and houses
Because there’s something in the air
We’ve got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution’s here

And you know it’s right
And you know that it’s right
We have got to get it together
We have got to get it together now

Today we drove through downtown Cleveland, and even there we saw few Obama signs. There were even a few Romney signs. Four years ago, those streets were lined with Obama signs.

I was also on the Cleveland State Campus a few weeks ago when Obama was here, taking a day long class. When we broke for lunch, we were all amazed how bare the campus was. When I got home, I checked our local news for the crowd estimates. I found no coverage of the event at all! I still don’t know how many came.

And now I hear he was back this week with Stevie Wonder on the same campus and drew something like 200?! You would think Stevie Wonder would get way more than that in Cleveland without Obama.

We The People are highly pissed off!

And that’s why R/R are going to win Tuesday night. It’ll be remembered as the Chick Fil-A election!

I went to the Mittens rally in West Allis, Wi on Friday. And looking at the jubilant faces of Reince, Scott W., Tommy, Ron Johnson, they do internals..they know more than we do.
They think it’s looking good for our side.

No, I live in the People’s Republic of Maryland. There are a lot of normal people here who are outnumbered and outvoted by the hordes from Baltimore and the DC suburbs. We are bright blue, surrounded by red. This is why I’m hoping to sell my house here and move to America, not far away.

Look at Venezuela.
All the momentum with the opposition. All the polls showed it too.
Then Hugo wins by a landslide with results that were totally inverted from the final polling.
Probably used the same voting machines.

I too see many similarities. Remember - it's not the votes that count, it's who counts the vote!

There’s no accounting for demonrat voter fraud.

When it comes down to one state as it did in 2000, voter fraud is something to worry about. When several states are involved, it is much more difficult to steal a presidential election the way Al Gore tried to do - particularly when the states involved have Republican governors and attorney generals. All of us are naturally a little nervous because we know how the Democrats are willing to do anything to win, but, judging from the behavior and demeanor of the candidates, it is not going to even be close enough for voter fraud to come into play.

Something is going on. We drove to Denver last week from southern Colorado. All along the 240 mile route there were all these makeshift billboards along the highway made of 2 by 4’s with Romney/Ryan signs. Many of the businesses had signs for Romney. I worked in the 96 hour go to victory drive in 2004 and I didn’t see anything like that. I didn’t see a single Obama sign on that drive last week and I was looking for them. Not even in Downtown Denver. They say you can’t really tell a tsunami is coming until right at the last minute when it reaches shallow water. I think the democrats aren’t going to see this one coming. I hope. I don’t know what I will do if I have to face another 4 years like the last 4.

Agreed. I think that Walter E. Williams is right. There is such a division in this country of two diametrically opposed philosophies that it is time to part ways. Why should there be such a conflict. Let the West coast and the Northeast be left to their own devises and let the rest of the country go it’s separate way. Let California continue on the road to socialism on its own. Ironically the same people who oppose building a fence on the border to keep illegal immigrants out will be scrambling to build a fence to keep people in. If they want to live that way then let them but why do they get to decide for the rest of us. Why shouldn’t there be at least one country on this planet for those who don’t want the government to do anything for them but provide the army to protect them from foreign aggression, the police to protect them from criminals and law courts to protect their property and contracts. And nothing else.

" One of my doubts about Romney is whether he recognizes this and whether he'll have the cojones to fire zillions of Lefties in the Federal Government. Bush did not. Part of his failure as President, was that he did not have the stomach to fight. Bush wouldn't defend himself and he wouldn't defend his voters from the smears of the DemoMedia Complex. Bush even joined in attacking his supporters over immigration. By the end, there was no one left, who would defend Bush.

I hope Romney has learned from that failure. "

Has anyone in the Romney campaign or in his circles of people he knows talked to him about this failed aspect of the Bush presidency of George Bush not firing all of Clinton's appointees ? and start fresh and new ?

Anyone ?

From the new media ?

Michelle Malkin ?
Mark Levin ?
Rush Limbaugh ?

Or anyone from the Romney campaign ?

Has anyone communicated this to Romney and Ryan yet ?
If so please let us know.

That is one area of the campaign I would not telegraph my intentions. Mitt is a successful businessman. The first rule when taking over a troubled company is to remove the leadership that got the company in that mess to begin with. I am optimistic on this point.

Check out this thread, Sen. Vitter's already going after a potential Romney moderate to head the EPA.

The EPA stabbed Bush in the back within 2 months of his taking office. They are among the worst of the out of control power-mad radicals in the Federal Government. If Romney doesn't appoint a kick-butt Administrator, how does he expect to get his oil and coal friendly energy program out of the blocks?

The EPA will sabotage him even before he takes office. I'm not sure Romney gets it.

Check out this article on Sen. Vitter already firing a shot across the USS Romney about appointing a moderate to head the EPA.

Romney has the opportunity to be greater than Reagan in taming the Federal Government. If he doesn't, you are absolutely correct, he will fail. He will fail and destroy the Republican Party. This is the GOP's last chance. They'll have all three political branches and they better take action, take action fast and do big things to reduce the size and scope of the Federal Government. "Reform" ain't gonna cut it. They've been "reforming" big government for decades and it never sticks. You can only cut government authority, not beg them to behave themselves. The Democrats are already lawless, you can't keep them in the bureaucracy and say: "Now boys, play by the rules." They have one rule: Power. The only solution is to take away the power by abolishing their departments.

I've seen Romney's stump speech several times and he talks about "worker re-training"? WTF? He talks about putting the choice in education to parents. Ah, let's abolish the Department of Education, cut the spending, cut taxes and let parents fight at the state and local levels. It's NOT a federal issue.

Absolutely. Nibbling around the edges won't do anything to correct the suicidal course the nation is on now. The federal government needs major surgery to amputate the alien growths that have ballooned like cancers on us all.

At this point, I don't have the confidence or certainty that Romney will aggressively move to shut down some of the extra-constitutional agencies that need abolishing, but I've got my fingers crossed. This may be our very last chance to get it done.

I wouldn’t figure it would matter to those who come to power that way, or their supporters. It should matter to everyone else. The question is what can/should be done when vote fraud is egregious and obvious? If we are going to have elections, then let them be legal and fair. Otherwise, I say to hell with it. Just let the oligarchy choose whoever it wants and spare us the lies and foolishness of elections.

But — when you consider all the things the goverment presumes to do for us and, for the purpose of this discussion — TO us — help itself to what we labor for, shove us around, send our young people off to be blown up in Third World hellholes — and an American election still is a reflection of the will of the people, then any real free American needs to stand up, say enough, and be prepared to fight — through means of legal challenges or otherwise.

I also don’t have confidence that Romney gets it. But Romney has something that Bush did not. He gets mad and he gets even. Bush allowed himself (and his voters) to get run over. Romney allows that one time, and he looks to fix it. So, that’s my hope.

It's unfortunate that, to a large degree, the fate of the nation is riding upon the shoulders of just one man, but it is.

Mitt Romney has been invested with a tremendous amount of good will and trust by a people who know that the choice we now make, will determine the immediate, and possibly long term course of the country.

He simply must not fail in the enormous task ahead.

His potential for success will hinge upon his ability (or lack thereof) to courageously face the evils that are destroying America, and to fight back. That is something that most Republican presidents have been loathe to do, but we've devolved beyond the point where the aims of the left are even in question.

After four years of Barack Obama, there can be no doubt about what the left's intentions are. They're a traitorous cancer upon the nation, and must be defeated at every level, and every turn. To do less, is to squander an historic opportunity to restore America, and will relegate our nation to complete failure.

Yep, I saw the same report.

I'm sure that Obama's minions in federal agencies are busy as bees, readying hundreds of new regulations that will bring even more economic catastrophe to the country. Win or lose, it was always their plan to implement the most heinous of Zero's plans after the election.

President Romney is going to be working long days for some time to come, undoing all of it.
