It's been in the works for a while, and now we finally know when and how we'll get to see the eagerly-anticipated Battlestar Galactica prequel Blood and Chrome. So what's up?

The series will first roll out as a 10-episode web series on Machinima, broken up into 7-12 minute installments. If Machinima sound familiar, it should, as it was also home to the epic Mortal Kombat web series Legacy. The first episode goes live late this week on Friday, Nov. 9, with the rest breaking out over the next four weeks.

Really pleased about this as the last Battlestar series was so good.

But I went to the Machinima web site and did not see any info about watching the new series nor did I see a section promoting the series. I am new to the site so little help would be great.

Do I subscribe? Is it free?

I thought Caprica was the prequel to BG. Is this a prequel to that prequel or a post prequel prequel. I’m confused.

This would be a post-prequel, IOW it picks up sometime after Caprica. In the new series Bill Adama is serving on the brand-new Galactica early in his career.

I thinks it’s set during the first Cylon War, before the Peace Treaty. Adama is a young LT pilot.

The Halo mini series they just finished was fantastic.

Bummer, I don’t like web series, don’t like watching stuff on the computer and the bluray is app-centric not a web browser. Oh well, at some point it’ll hit a medium I find usable.
