Sitting here browsing FR with my cat and getting somewhat blotto over the depressing election results. This is indeed a dark day in America.
I never thought I would live to see the day that my country would willingly embrace socialism.
It is the media’s fault. The media creates a false reality. If the media reported what was actually going on then Romney would have won, anyone would have won by 15% over this communist Obama.
I know. It is unbelievable. I miss Ronaldus Magnus!
Yeah, I guess I can give some giggles to the DU folk. I had a couple of break down snotty cries. Now I am just numb.
And worldwide chaos
Get more cats!
You know didn’t many of us here say that this would happen with Romney as the nominee?
I said that he would be unable to draw a distinction and that he would be creamed by class warfare attacks.
I said that he would probably lose by one percent.
He did the best that he could and we all felt that he had a good chance in the last months, but in the beginning we doubted him and our doubts proved true.
He would have a been a good president. Just couldn’t over come the liberals and the takers.
Well, we are much better off than we were during the first two years under 0bama. The House actually became MORE conservative than it’s been for over four years, increasing the Republican majority.
The Democrats will need to herd two Independent senators. Not the worst thing for them, but not as helpful as two Democrats.
We can still filibuster to our hearts content, as well.
It could definitely be worse than it is. 0bama will own any financial collapse over the next four years, too. :-)
Tomorrow I have to go to work so that the looters, moochers, and baby killers can continue to redistribute the fruits of my labor......
Put the bottle down. For good. I did it in my 20s.
Personally, we should have mourned the day our nation legalized infant murder. This is just a bi-product of immorality.
Conservatives are the minority. The MSM and the lies are what won the election. When is the conservative movement going to get a basic free television station?
Same here. Xanax and wine dont dull the pain. Kitty in my lap all nightt. If only he knew the evil that resides in me now. Tomorrow i join a militia and start the next civil war to rid our country of garbage.
What we need to do is demonstrate that the new 53% of the electorate is not going to be able to feed off the rest of us producers without significant cost. How to do that is the real question, though. For me it would mean chucking a good job and significant revenues. But if I don’t, then aren’t I just succumbing to blackmail? I either continue generating income and handing over approx 50% of it to the moochers, or else stop producing and join the others on the welfare line, and fail my family. FU, Obama voters. I have a feeling this is not going to end well at all....
While I sympathize with the heartbreak over the loss, it was probably too late anyway. I’m somewhat relieved that Romney didn’t inherit a mess he couldn’t have cleaned up and would have ultimately gotten hung around the neck of his administration.
We really do have to hit bottom before we pull out of this. Rather it happen on the Democrats’ watch.
America didnt embrace socialism
while it may be the result , The topic was never raised.
the GOP sent another weak moderate canidate that didnt fight back.
Don’t give up the job, your family depends on you - we can handle another 4 years of this asshole.
While I'm fearful of what's going to transpire in the months or weeks ahead, and we'll never know for sure, a Romney victory tonight might have eliminated Conservatism for good. I'm in the minority I'm sure, but even though I ended up voting for the guy, I still believe he wasn't our friend, just a little less bad than the other choice.
Now the question becomes, is our ideology still prevalent enough to fight whats coming with tonight's results?
I didnt start crying til I heard Romney speak..thats when it hit me, that America died tonight..even when I heard that Obama won it didnt sink in, but when I saw Romney speak, and seeing his beautiful wife Ann, who I know would have made such a wonderful first lady..it sunk in..America as we know it is finished..Socialism and Communism are the “new normal.” People want freebies instead of freedom. I didnt want to believe it til I see it with my own eyes, tonight I saw it..Our founding fathers are weeping tonight
I remember the words from the old requiem, ... Oh day of wrath Oh day of mourning when the earth in ashes burning..
Yes and no.
America has lost its way. For a generation we ... we have been destroying our own country.
That must stop.
We must build things in America, and buy American.
I hope Sarah Palin steps up and helps.
I have a rather long screed to post after the election results are in that addresses the purerists that will probably get me kicked off of Free Republic, but I choose to wait until tomorrow morning when all the results are in. No graphics because I don’t know how to do them.
I couldn’t listen. I need to cry, but cannot yet.
Boehner & O’Connell aint got it either
NON ILIGITIMA CARBORUNDUM; DON’T LET THE BASTARDS WEAR YOU DOWN. Fight until their is no breath left!
I would really like to believe that.
You can do it, hang in there, prepare, save and stash money away for your kids - this tide will turn.
I love Sarah Palin, I am perhaps her biggest supporter..but after seeing what I saw tonight, I dont think even if she ran it would make any difference..this country has changed, freebies vs freedom and unfortunately freebies wins every time
NO YOUR NOT! 100 agreement here, but we conservatives have got to learn to put our disagreements aside and support even the imperfect candidate. Win all the small battles and ultimately you win the war. We could always throw the bum out after 4 years for somebody better
fraud folks....the election was stolen and so have several other races...
I think we should elect a cat for president. A cat would probably be better than what we have. The worse part is Michael Savage is probably right when he said we have two-card monty system. The Dems and Repubs are 2 sides of the same coin.
fraud folks....the election was stolen and so have several other races.
Yes fraud and the media.
So do I!
Dpn’t feel like crying. I am ready to redouble and keep fighting the good fight. In 08 I recall I was upset a little bit and refused to watch any coverage like I did tonight. But I again toughened up. However, I recall sometime later I cried out of frustration when Obamacare passed.
The second the Senate remained in Dem control I knew that Obamacare was the law of the land..in 2008 I cried like a baby for HOURS..but people around me kept on telling me that it would be OK, that Obama won’t be “That bad” he was WORSE than I even imagined..what more can we do..Socialism won..and in four more years, when you have even more people reliant on Govt, no Republican will ever be able to win when you have the majority of people getting Govt goodies
I wonder if I can find a militia to join here in Hawaii? Probably not; since we are so completely controlled and owned by the Dimocraps!
I feel like I’ve come home to find my neighbors have burned down my house with my family inside. And I keep seeing visions of Supreme Court Justice Hillary Clinton!
That is true.
What a great idea!
It will however require a new approach.
We have for an entire generation sabotaged ourselves. Sold off our factories. And turned on each other.
That must stop.
I would like to see Ms. Palin, say something to that effect sometime soon. Just even a passing reference, or something similar.
Just to open a discussion.
I would love Sarah Palin to run..but hearing Krauthammer tonight he seems to want Jeb Bush to run(LOL OMG PLEASE NO) the GOP hasn’t learned their lesson and they probably never will
There’s only so many pulls from the bottle a man can take in his lifetime.
Some take em early.
Some leave em on the table.
Me, I saved em for tonight.
You are definitely not alone.
Sitting here at my keyboard at three o’clock in the morning with a sick feeling in my stomach, feeling utter shock and stunned disbelief.
I’m trying to wrap my brain around the fact that, after the last four years, the American people would be so abysmally stupid as to buy the president’s line of BS a second time.
And trying, with all my mental powers, to imagine the utter failure and ensuing chaos that’s now coming down the pike at us with broad strides and a neon sign on its head.
NO! We past the tipping point.
So many people on food stamps, EBT, welfare, government employment and the young the last 30 years have been polluted by union public school teachers. I think you can stick a fork in us. We created a cancer from within.
The kids of the last thirty years haven’t learned that kind of polticial critical thinking. Brainwashed in school, probably employed at times by government or living on unemployment or food stamps.
We toppled a tipping point. This election proves that.
It wasn’t about who was right or could do what is best for the country. It was about who can keep giving us stuff for as long as possible, even if the country goes down in flames.
Our people are mostly weak now and are takers, not makers.
