OH, how sad, prayers for your FIL. And on top of the depressing election results. I tried to hustle off to bed so I wouldn’t have to face it last night. I turned off the kitchen TV as soon as they called Ohio for 0, and headed upstairs. As I passed through the living-room, Shep was on that TV calling the election for Obama. I just kept going. Didn’t stop to see him gloat.

There are 2 paths and the split in the GOP will fester. Some will want to abandon principle and just be a party that goes after moderates.

The other path must involve changing hearts and minds by infiltrating the media and education.

Interesting that Bush is still blamed by many. It proves the point that the media never told people about the Dem policies and threats that encouraged risky lending.

i am skeptical of our ability to change hearts and minds. people don’t want to hear anything other than what they can GET, what directly affects them personally. going after moderates doesn’t work either, so it looks hopeless to me.
WHO stayed home? no one i know stayed home. every faith-filled person that i know, KNEW this was IT, this was the line in the sand, that once crossed spelled doom for us. i don’t know a single person who stayed home.

NO.

This country was born from a war aganst the greatest military power on earth....

THen We fought the War of 1812.

We Survuved 4 terms of an outright Communist sympathizer.

We Won two World Wars.

We Fought our way out of the Frozen Chosin in Korea.

We survived a war we were winning that the fifth column subverted, thanks Mr Cronkite,I hope it’s warm down there.

We Defeated the USSR, in a thirty year struggle.

This country can suvive a two term commie lighweight.

It is always darkest before the Dawn.

The problem is running people that fight Marquis of Queensbury against Hells angels.

While I’m pissed at the Fat Man for giving the most Partisan jackoff ever the imprimatur or Presidentiality and non partisanship....

Pray that fat f**k runs in 2016.

Well, that was sad. Little Lauren, 20 months old, toddled around my house while her mom was at her babysitter’s funeral.

Melancholy day.

I have got to run errands. Maybe that will distract me. Rush on the radio...he is always optimistic.

The sources you are looking for, are the stats the confirm the fact of building a coalition of the bought.

The end of the paper should be the unsustainablitiy of such a thing.

Based on the whistling-past-the-graveyard mentality of so many people, I have to say let them suffer the consequences of their folly. The rest of us will just have to suck it up and do the best we can-if the old native american prophecies are right, it is a moot point anyway.

Personally, I don’t see why we don’t just split the blanket into two countries, for awhile-let the dumbasses live with their socialist vision without bringing sensible people down any more-reunite when the useful idiots grow the cojones to be free (again).

Now that the dirge has been sung
And the new Roman mob rejoices
Gorging on bread and circuses,
Thus rewarded for their choices

With all the koolaid they can drink
And promises of taxpayer money-
When it runs out in a year or two
They’ll be out of milk and honey

It isn’t likely that we who work hard
Will help the greedy takers at all
Revenge is a dish best served cold-
We’ll be satisfied when they fall...

God bless and keep your FIL, and all your family. MrT5 took to his deathbed a couple of days after first time Obama was elected...

I am joining you, and many others clinging even more bitterly to our guns and our religion...

And we sang dirges in the dark the day our country died. I was optimistic too and am doubly crushed. I feel physically and emotionally sick.

“Pray that fat f**k runs in 2016.”

Oh, I do-and I hope every smashmouth, balls-to-the-wall conservative comes out, starting in the mid-terms. I want to see candidates who are for personal liberty without government overseers, period-disagree with me if you like, but if it isn’t allowed, you can’t try to corrupt it-you’ll get your ass kicked.

I’m thinking of going Galt for awhile...

Maybe I’m just a vengeful, fatalistic Latin, but even though I’m appalled and pissed, I look forward to the cause and effect coming to pass-revenge is sweet, and God does make people accountable for their actions, especially when they stick fingers into His eyes...

Rush said, before the election, that if we divided the country in half and put a wall down the middle separating the liberals and the conservatives, within two weeks the libs would be climbing over the wall.

A++ for you.

Would a Chevy Volt even make it to the levee without exploding?

American Pie has been running around in my head all day. I even Twittered about it. I guess we all felt something die last night.

I even loved the ads in Mad...

Nick Meglin, a long-time editor of Mad Magazine, was a graduate of my alma-mater, the famous Stuyvesant HS in NYC, which has brought us such luminaries as Eric Holder, Dick Morris, and Jerrold Nadler. Anyway, Meglin gave a talk to us at assembly and, being a huge fan of MAD, I felt like Crispy Creme Christie felt when Springsteen called him.
