Today I had an e-mail from a friend who said she made a sign and put on her front door that said, “If you voted for Obama, don’t knock!!” She meant it, too.
You are correct. But given the overall drift of the country, trying to convert the most easily convertible of the Obama voters is necessary in order to maintain a conservative majority in congress and the office of POTUS over time.
Just holding the fort is not enough in the long run.
But again you are rightcorrect in what you suggest and perhaps the focus should start with conservativish citizens who are not voting but could be. Getting even half of them out would be an enormous advantage. But even with this I still think we have to actively and permanently be undertaking “conversion drives”.
I think the truth of the matter is is that conservatives as a whole are going to have to get much, much more proactive and aggressive. Declaring a “philosophical war” against the forces of the left if you will. Right now I honestly don’t think that conservatives are engaged in anything remotely like philosophical war. We like to talk amongst ourselves at forums like FR but this does nothing to beat back the relentless cultural force of the left.
We need our own version of what R.Emmett Tyyrell calls Kultur Smog.
We know where the Socons are ~ in church. Skim out the handful of Leftwingtards and push the rest of them to register and vote.
We also know where the Fiscons can be found ~ and it's not in affiliation with the National Chamber of Commerce ~ those guys are pro MJ, pro open borders, .... and entertain the Goobers with abortion and condom subsidies. We might be ahead EXCLUDING anyone with a NCC affilaition from participating in Republican politics ~ where they gonna' go ~ to the Democrats? HA!
Remember we are working with an uncivilized base of 90 million who don't vote and don't participate in political life ~ time to domesticate them, and the Republican brand is the best!
I think we had that in Breitbart and they knew it. And now he’s gone.
