How the Faithful Voted: 2012 Preliminary Analysis (Jews voted 69% for Obama)
Pew Forum ^ | Pew Forum

Posted on 11/07/2012 3:49:11 PM PST by MadIsh32

In his re-election victory, Democrat Barack Obama narrowly defeated Republican Mitt Romney in the national popular vote (50% to 48%)1. Obama’s margin of victory was much smaller than in 2008 when he defeated John McCain by a 53% to 46% margin, and he lost ground among white evangelical Protestants and white Catholics.

But the basic religious contours of the 2012 electorate resemble recent elections – traditionally Republican groups such as white evangelicals and weekly churchgoers strongly backed Romney, while traditionally Democratic groups such as black Protestants, Hispanic Catholics, Jews and the religiously unaffiliated backed Obama by large margins.

Well if the Jews don’t care about Isreal why should I worry about it any more?

When Israel has been nuked by Iran, at least there will be “peace” in the middle east, “peace and deadly silence over the nuclear blistered battlefield”

I hope those fools who voted for Barry can live with that....

I know I couldn’t....

Jews = less than 2% of the country .
I really don’t care who they voted for when 50% of Roman Catholics voted for Obama . They are MUCH larger part of this country now thanks to their churches support of illegal immigration .

CATHOLICS GAVE US OBAMA TWICE AND THEY ARE TO BLAME FOR THE MESS THEY HAVE MADE IN THIS COUNTRY . DON’T EVEN TRY TO PIN IT ON THE JEWS

Just as I thought. Christian conservatives did NOT stay home because he was a Mormon. Romney did just as well as GW Bush did in the religious factor. This election was stolen by fraud.

In 2008, the Jewish vote for Obama was closer to 80%.

Small and large businesses can’t discriminate in hiring based on religion, however they can discriminate based on political affiliation.

Perhaps they should...

Jews = 99% non-hispanic whites

Catholics = 50% non-hispanic whites

Perhaps you should blame the 50% of "Catholics" (most of whom are "hispanic" and/or "non-practicing") for supporting Obama, rather than blaming ALL Catholics when HALF of us DID NOT want Obama -- in 2008 AND in 2012.

Indeed it was. If we do nothing, we must work on the state level to get voter ID and try to get early voting and absentee ballots squashed for all but the military and diplomatic corp. Watching the west Florida totals showed me just how successful the dems were in squashing the military vote. This has to change or we will never win an election again.

There are several things that make me doubt the numbers. The number of Jews supporting him doesn’t surprise me; that number is probably true. Jews are apparently schizophrenic people who support liberals who hate Israel and want to see it destroyed, but as soon as we fail to support Israel they are the biggest whiners.

But, more than that, I don’t believe that zero actually won re-elction. I believe that the vote was rigged and him having a Spanish company tally the vote opens the door wider to fraud.

Before the election, we were told by the DBM about Republican excitement versus Democrat depression. And, the large number of people who went to vote usually mean a Republican victory. So, IMO, there is a rotten stench about these numbers and I don’t really believe that the Chicago thug was legitimately re-elected.

Unfortunately, it is unlikely that we will ever be able to prove fraud.

I agree with both of your points. We need to fix things before 2016 or we may never hold the WH again.

We need to quit blaming any religion except Islam. The youth vote skews the percentages. Hell in 68 I had to be 21 to vote. I say you have to be 21 or be on active duty.

Maybe when Roman Catholics stop trying to pin Obama on the Jews I’ll stop holding all Roman Catholics accountable for their churches support of illegal immigration .
More than half of all Roman Catholics in this country hate this country , support communism , support theft , etc etc etc and have the gall to call themselves Christians.

They aren’t Catholics. Being Catholic isn’t like being Jewish or black. Being Catholic is a function of adhering rigidly to the tenets and hierarchy of the Catholic Church. It is the clear teaching of the church that neither abortion nor socialism are compatible with the faith. Voting for either is self excommunicating. The people you call Catholics are the religious equivalent of zombies.

...."Perhaps you should blame the 50% of "Catholics" (most of whom are "hispanic" and/or "non-practicing") for supporting Obama, rather than blaming ALL Catholics when HALF of us DID NOT want Obama -- in 2008 AND in 2012.".....

Come on,...that is the weakest crap I've heard since the last time the Catholic vote put Obama in. I have been posting here for years now complaining that the church puts Pelosi, Biden, Kerry, and all the Kennedy's into office every election. Then Obama gets 54%-60%( that seems to be in dispute) of catholics as he craps on the church and covers the Cross at a Catholic paid for university so he can talk about murdering babies. The Church.....excuse me, I may have to speak louder....THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IS RUN BY, AND IS FULL OF LIBERALS, AND HAS SUPPORTED PERVERTS AND BABY KILLERS SO THEY CAN HAVE MORE FOOD STAMPS! I'm sick of Catholics making excuses like, "you should see my Parish cause we have red neck conservatives in every pew." Or "I don't know any Dems in my church." when the Catholic vote puts these creeps in office all over the US. I have some in my church and The church government, at all levels, won't say a PEEP, when they find out they support abortion, gay marriage, women priests, et al because they don't want to lose the money or they don't want confrontation in the church. I don't know why they are never confronted. I figure it must be money, or they agree with the libs. What makes me tired now is the church covers it up and says, "they aren't "real" Catholics", or "You're just a basher." You can only turn your head from this absurdity for so long.

I've found that the truth seems to be the liberals are running the church and we are in the minority, as "intolerant".

Now go back and re read what you wrote. You stated that 50% of the Catholics don't count because thay are Hispanic or they don't regularly attend. They still claim to be Catholics. Now, if the church finds them in sin, do they deny them Sacrements? Do they even call them aside to talk to them? Do they talk about these issues in Mass? Just recently, I read where a Bishop sent a letter to his people explaining that we should vote for religious freedom issues. That is the first PEEP I've heard of in 4 years. If you don't remind them that a baby's life is more important than gubmint housing, they will follow the free lunch. Some priests even preach Jesus would be in favor of food stamps and free housing. Where is that in Scripture? I've done my best to shut up for several months now, but then you wrote that 50% of the Catholics didn't vote for Obama, as if that were some sort of acomplishment that 50% DID vote for Obama. There is a measurable amount of Hispanic Catholics that kill chickens for religious reasons. What are they being taught?

It's time for church disipline or the church will go the way of the Anglicans, Lutheran's, and others that now marry homosexuals and believe abortion is fine and approved by Jesus. To believe that everything is fine is to have your head in the sand, or somewhere else. It is my concern for the church that I write these things. It is not to "bash" the church.

Being Jewish and pro-America, I’d like to say that too many of my religious brethren are like the Jews of Germany, educated, comfortable in life, disbelieving of the threats around, and dumb as dogshit on a hot summer night.

They learned nothing from Germany and Nazism of the 1930’s. They bury their heads up their liberal leaders’ asses and hope that they don’t fart.

Almost all Jewish combat veterans I know were against Obama (with a couple decent exceptions). Almost all the non-veterans were for Obama. This is a sad dichotomy.

The poison of appeasement has flowed, again, through the Jewish liberals in the US while common sense is taking over in Israel where the threat to their very existence is very real and ever present. This is a sad dichotomy.

The only good thing I can say regarding the liberal Jews of Florida and New York is that most of the older generation will be dead in the next few years so they can’t continue to wreck what is left of American society. They are like passengers on the Titanic yelling at the ship’s Captain, “Go faster, go faster” into the night.

They have exhibited the grossest stupidity of free Jews anywhere in the world, and I, for one, won’t miss them, even if they are my relatives.

You don’t vote to destroy your country (and youself), not if you are sane. And not my life or that of my family and friends who love America, have fought for America, and will die to protect America.

If you want to live in Stupidville, led by a Marxist delusional Third-World authoritarian, go to No. Korea, or even better, go to Iran. They’d love you there, for target practice. But just get the hell out of America so that we can take it back and make it the greatest country in the world that it recently was.

Once a Catholic always a Catholic . I've heard that said on FR more than once and usually with a sneer aimed at former catholics who became Evangelicals . You don't have to tell me they are zombies , I already know that but they are your uneducated zombies that grew up in your churches just like Nancy Pelosi , John Kerry and the Kennedy bunch .

50% of ROMAN CATHOLICS VOTED IN OBAMA TWICE AND THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO CALL THEMSELVES FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST .
Your church owns them and their lack of knowledge of what is written in the Bible is why these people do not understand that covetous and theft are sins . But boy they sure can blame whatever bad happens on the Jews that are an itsy bitsy teeny weeny portion of the population of this nation.

And the 95% of blacks that vote for Obama still claim to be Protestants, when Obama's hate whitey Rev. Wrighty congregation isn't even remotely Christian. So let know when the United Church of Christ officials are going to denounce them, and when you start typing vanity posts about "Protestants elected Obama" and we should all blame the white Protestants too who DIDN'T support him since blacks are almost uniformly "protestant" and overwhelmingly vote Obama.

Maybe if all the leading protestant churches were anti-illegal immigration, your post bashing and singling out Catholic Churches would make sense. Last time I checked, most of the leading protestant denominations love illegal aliens as well.
