The question for me is, which vehicles have been touched by union hands.

That said, barring a bad accident both my vehicles will be running for a very long time yet. Totally rebuilt drivetrain on one, and unfortunately for the UAW, small-block 302’s are as plentiful as grass.

My 2008 Ford Edge has nearly 60K miles and has never had a single problem. However, I wouldn’t buy one again because they’re made by the UAW. Personally I’d buy a Nissan, Hyundai, or maybe a Kia since they’re assembled here in the U.S. by non-union American workers.

He loves his Camry. It’s actually 10 years old, and runs amazing. He was rather cynical about Japanese automobiles until recently.

I think its hard for him because he’s nostalgic of his childhood back when GM was the most successful company ever, and his uncle was a GM mechanic. To see such a giant fall to such a miserable low is sad.

Bad news: they’re already well into “another” bailout. GM’s finance company went back to the TARP well not once, but three times. Also, GM is still receiving billions in special tax forgiveness. The GM “bailout” has never really ended.

We are a Honda family. Never again will anyone in my family buy a vehicle made by the auto unions, except maybe Ford.
I loved my Ford Escape.

I think your Edge was made in Canada.

On the UAW website, they list GM, Ford, Chrysler, and Mitsubishi as automakers in the US using union labor. Any other brand built in the US should be fine. I thought some VWs, Mercedes, and BMWs were also built in the US.

Here’s the link to the “UAW Made” page -

http://www.uaw.org/content/uaw-made-page

We plan to do the inverse, as a start. I’d certainly like to expand the list locally, but this is a good start.

Oakville, Ontario.

Of course the CAW is more socialist than the UAW, lol.

I had my 1984 Supra L for 20 years before I got my Sienna which was built in the US, I think KY. My van is a 2004 and I have kept the mileage low, we have a Chevy Trailblazer closing in on 97K miles (2003) and it has been a very good truck. I did not want to sell my Supra...hubby did it and I still grrrr about it today...love my Toyota.

I have no problem with profits for whomever makes a good product.
My Sequoia had 135k miles on it when I sold it for 8k 4 years ago and it’s still on the road.
Just sayin”.

I was going to buy a Ford, but since Ocommie won the election, I’m not going to buy anything that I don’t need. And I don’t NEED a new car.

Screw the UAW - they voted for Obama, I’m not going to support them.

From whomever.”

Give me three good reasons why.

My last two cars have been American, including my current car.

I love it.

You may desire to buy an import. I do not.

Dude, don't even.

Where do you think GM's design and support facilities are going to be? Google the video. You can watch GM's CEO tell you. [Hint: Begins with "People's".] And GM is not presently paying anywhere near the corporate taxes of other automakers, so let's not pretend it actually matters where their corporate headquarters -- momentarily -- are.

If your point is that I should blindly pay people who have repeatedly ROBBED me, my wife, and children because they claim to be "Americans," I have news for you: Americans who use the government to steal from other Americans are no different from people in China or Japan who steal from Americans. In fact, they're WORSE, because the people overseas are at least honest about it.

KIA is providing jobs to American workers who don't belong to the UAW. That's my bottom line.

If you want to reward and be an enabler for the thieves, be my guest. But you don't get any "loyalty" points from me for it. And you won't get any consideration from the unions or the looters when they come to steal more of your money. They won't even thank you; they'll thank the Enabler-in-Chief for "saving" their worthless little backsides.

GMC Envoys were assembled in Moraine, Ohio and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Never in Canada that I can find.

That's funny, the badge inside mine is distinctly from Canada. That's ok, at least it wasn't UAW GOONS that built it here, although it's still the biggest piece of SHIT of a vehicle I've ever owned.

71,000 miles and it's on it's 3rd front suspension, replaced both outer axle assemblies (front end), third set of brakes, second water pump, second alternator and miscellaneous other repairs. Now one may think this vehicle is "abused" or goes off-roading - that's not the case. It's now 11 years old, 71,000 miles and drives less than 15 miles a day. The oil on this thing is changed faithfully every 3,000 miles and has had all scheduled maintenance performed. I shudder to think how bad this thing would be if I didn't!!

As I said a bigger piece of SHIT I've never owned. That coming from the owner of a 1973 Ford Pinto that got me through college (1980 - 1983) with more than 200,000 miles on it before it gave up the ghost.
