Ya’ know....HA, your title to the thread pricked my ears. Because it’s not what you think. Yesterday, I thought about half of the dumb masses. Yes, we DO need to ‘teach America’....about the Founders and about tyranny...and our escape from it. Even thought about a billboard campaign and PSA’s. Of course....if there is enough money left in the US to fund it.
it seems to me like a bunch of idiots think that “if we just tax the rich the debt and deficit will go away”. Let’s show them how math works. Most of us are already prepped for bad times. Let’s jump off the cliff.....My chute will deploy.
We are “sympatico” my FRiend - I came to this thread hoping to have the discussion you describe, for the same reason.
From your tagline, I suspect you will agree that there are few who can deliver a full-throated explanation and defense of liberty, conservatism, and American exceptionalism than Rush. OK, there are a few others like Mark Levin but why are there so few? Or so many who perhaps know it intellectually but are too timid to speak it boldly?
I read that exit polls said 71% of voters agreed that big government is bad because it leads to corruption - but then they voted for Obama anyway! That is nuts! My conclusion is they are so poorly informed that they don’t or can’t connect the dots. They agree with that conservative statement but they vote for the guy who will DO just the opposite - maybe because he’s “got a nice family”??
So there is a major need for education. It can’t be just Rush because the people who listen to Rush already know it.
Billboards, why not? A full-time conservative cable TV channel? How about our pal Clint Eastwood making a movie or two? Recruit and nurture pop music performers who embrace conservatism - they are out there.
There’s plenty of money to fund it - just get the Adelsons, Koch Brothers, etc to pay it forward rather than dumping it all in after then next RINO has been ordained.
