Has anyone gone through cupital tunnel surgery? If so, how did the recovery go? Did the tingling go away? I'm going in to get my right elbow taken care of in a couple of weeks and I'm curious to found out some of you did.
I have, both hands. Both surgery was in the palm of my hand. 10 years + no issues since.
Carpal
Nope.
Cubital tunnel surgery is at the elbow.
Carpal tunnel surgery is at the wrist.
We tried Capitol Tunnel surgery last Tuesday, but that didn’t turn out too well...

I had to have my left elbow done twice in three years. The doctor didn’t relocate the nerve during the first surgery. He said my nerve didn’t rub when he bent my arm while it was open during surgery. My hand was going numb within two weeks because the nerve was rubbing again. The surgery isn’t very painful or hard to recover from. Just make sure the doctor gets it right the first time.

I did...about 8 years ago. They promised to move the nerve to the inside of my elbow but left it halfway in between so I hit my “not so funny bone” all the time. Took care of the loss of feeling and loss of use of a couple of my fingers. Hurt but recovered quickly. They cut several surface nerves so I used to leave little bloody spots on my desk because I couldn’t feel my elbow. Better now.

I assume you mean carpal tunnel syndrome....talk more with your doc. It is a well established procedure and has great success. You need to be asking more questions of your doc so that you can know what you actually have, what the procedure is to improve your condition, what medically will be done, how long it takes to recover, etc etc. Information from a knowledgable source is a good thing
In my case, it was Compartment Syndrome. Expect the tingles to last for a long time. That’s the nerve regeneration.
Thanks for sharing. I think I’m going to ask that he move the nerve and place it sub-muscular. I don’t want to go through this twice.
I had it 12+ years ago. Haven’t had one problem since. I regained full use of my hand, and I haven’t had a nerve issue since. Good luck.
Cubital is to relieve pressure on the ulnar nerve at the elbow. Carpal is at the wrist.
Okay thanks....the questioner still needs to be asking more of their doc
