Those in the military call him P4, people in the CIA call him Director and others just call him General, but with his resignation the stones are already started to fly. Admitting to an extramarital affair Petraeus resigned his position citing “extremely poor judgment.”

But now the rumor mills have started: What did he know about Benghazi? When did he know it? Did he lie to Congress and participate in a cover up? And was he blackmailed? Will he now refuse to answer to Congress?

I don’t know the answer to these questions but they will no doubt be answered soon and in the public arena. I’m sure it will be a messy spectacle that will leave an indelible black mark on a good man.

Petraeus made a mistake, just like you and I make mistakes all the time. Was he wrong? Of course but in my opinion that is between him and Holly.

Let me tell you what I do know for a fact; Petraeus is a leader that cares deeply about the people that serve under him and most would tell you in a second that they would follow him into hell. In war sometimes men must die but I cannot fathom him letting someone die that he could possible save.

He is mission driven and when something needs to be done he wants it to be right but I have seldom seen a leader who is as humble and caring as Petraeus. He cares about serving his country in whatever capacity he might be needed.

The stones will fly but let’s wait until all the facts are in before we pass judgment and let’s leave his personal life between him and his wife out of this.

Petraeus is an honorable man and an American hero and a friend. Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt.

I know some of you don’t really care for Petraeus but let’s give him some credit. He has devoted his whole life to his country.

He betrayed his country and his uniform. He was cowardly enough to not ‘out’ himself before being confirmed as head of CIA. So he is a known liar cheat and thief. I don’t give a rats behind about anything else.

And by the by I ain’t fond of Benedict Arnold either

petraeus devoted himself to petraeus. He is not worthy of defense, nor is he worthy of respect.

And by the by when one knowingly compromises his security clearance it is NO LONGER just between he and his wife.

For the record when my uncle flew planes for SAC he had the highest security clearance around. His wife decided that she would find solace in a bottle. That nearly cost him his commission. It was a hard decision for him but because she would not get help and sober up he left her. Fortunately after a number of years he found a truly lovely woman that he married and she was a real gem. His first wife died an ugly ugly alcoholic death. Was that between he and his wife? Not hardly her behavior had put his security clearance at risk ( as well as this nation). Petraeus is so much worse than that

I see your point.

But I don’t believe he would ever betray his country.

Petraeus is worthy of nothing. According to Newsmax, if true, he sent thousands of emails to the woman AFTER SHE broke it off with him and chose to stay with her husband.

Perfect opportunity to remind Petraeus this..I feel his life and the lives of his family are in danger. As soon as he has them secured and protected I feel he will testify.

Pay attention General. I feel you are that type of man, your soiled but redeemable. Regain you self respect, duty requires it, and I am certain you will do the right thing. God Bless.

Knowing how much the General loved his country and his soldiers, why didn’t he resign before the election? He knows the dangerous direction our country is headed with another term under Obama.

I wonder if his pension was a carrot. Wait until after the election, and you can keep your pension.

In today’s America, his affair will be forgotten in 6 months. The death of those 4 Amerlcans will be remembered by their families until they all pass. If you were him what would you choose as a path for the rest of your life? An affair no one will remember or treason?

The only ones that benefit from this story is the media and Obama so I am very suspicious of all of this. No matter what they say, P4 is and will always be a hero.

What is your thoughts on him ‘going to work’ for the commie muslim boy as CIA director? He had to know that no good would come of it. He could have just faded out, wrote a book, been set financially $$$$ big time until his pension kicked in, (if his pen. ret. bennies were still a ways out), etc. if wanted to retire. Am I wrong on this?

I agree

What he has done has nothing to do with this affair. He IS a true hero

I don’t know my FRiend.

But I can tell you this. If they told him it was his duty he would have done it for his country.

Remember when he took a “demotion” to go back to Afganistan?

I just think there is more to this.

I will do my best to let him know. I don’t know if I can contact him now.

I wish I could
