CLEVELAND, Ohio — I tried to ignore Shena Hardin. I really did. This region and nation are confronted with far more pressing issues than her brand of recklessness.
But as I watched her coolly light up a cigarette on camera Tuesday, before casually hoisting a handwritten sign that properly declared her an "idiot" for failing to stop for a Cleveland school bus, I could only marvel at Hardin's remarkable disinterest and aloofness before the condemning eyes of the public

This story brings up the problem we have with recidivism and society. In Connecticut, presently the emperor governor did a early release for thousands of convicted felons ....these people are out, serving a fraction of their sentences...........committing more crimes and murder. there is no concern for the victims of the criminal’s horror...follow the money politics as usual.
I think things went south fast with that lame attempt to spin off of Foxworthy's redneck schtick. It was tedious the first time they tried it ... actually torturous.
I thought this was and overreaction until realizing she drove on a sidewalk!
Either way, the better word is “jackass” or a more polite form of that.
Some jerk did that same thing to me when I was a teenager. I was coming home from a trades job I had back then in a rather unpleasant part of town and some doofus decides I’m not driving fast enough for his taste so he swerved up on to the curb and halfway into someone’s front yard and floored it. Being a kid, I jumped about halfway out of my seat. Crazy stuff.

Cleveland has had a number of hit and run incidents where drivers do not stop to aid their victims or call for EMS.
Ms. Hardin isn’t repentent, and the sentencing judge is supposed to go out today to watch Ms. Hardin comply with her sentence.
Were I to read that sign, I would assume she was protesting someone who failed to stop for a school bus. Nothing on the sign indicates SHE was the negligent driver.

This is the type of person I want to take a hammer to. If you behave as dumb as a box of hammers, then you should be beat with a box of hammers.
When we were in Rome a couple years ago we were in a cab going the wrong way on a one-way street. When we got across to the driver that we feared for our lives, he said “Signs...those are only SUGGESTIONS”!!! LOL!
