enjoin [en-join] verb
1. to prescribe (a course of action) with authority or emphasis: The doctor enjoined a strict diet.
2. to direct or order to do something: He was enjoined to live more frugally.
3. Law: to prohibit or restrain by an injunction.
Example sentences:
The plaintiffs did not ask for a restraining order or an injunction to enjoin the trustee's sale.
Upon a showing by a preponderance of the evidence, the court may enjoin all or any part of a request or requests.
Etymology:
From 1175–1225; Middle English enjoi; Old French enjoindre; Latin injungere to fasten to, bring upon.

I enjoin you to demand more than a mere numeral in place of a sentence, to qualify for an award. (LOL...being naughty this morning!)

We conservatives not only need to enjoin the younger Americans to join us, but we must teach them that being lazy and getting free stuff is them selling out for so much less than they are worth. And that will be a major effort, because they’re the XBox generation who think exercise is having to work thumbs fast on a hand console or ipad. They can’t see beyond the surface.
Obama and the DemonRats enjoin Americans to report any suspicious activity—such as upside down flags or pro-constitutional rhetoric.
