ChannelMeter has produced a nifty chart predicting that Korean Pop Star, PSYs Gangnam Style video will hit 1 billion views on YouTube in December and become the first video to do so (see below).
That he will displace Justin Biebers Baby, is a delicious irony considering the fact that Biebers manager, Scooter Braun, is now PSYs champion for growth outside of Asia.
The chart was brought to my attention by Alexis Madrigals Atlantic post on Friday. What Madrigal may not have been aware of, though, was the lively discussion on Stack Exchange about how to statistically model this phenomenon. A management consultant from Stockholm, Fredrik Döberl, has provided a couple of models based on epidemiology, one that combines high risk and low-risk groups (i.e. children and adults), and the other that combines sharers with loners. Neither of these produce an appropriate shaped curve but raise some interesting ideas about what makes a video go pandemic.

That’s nice.
A billion views, thats a lotta people
Go Psy! LOL “Oppaneun Gangnam Style”!
I read that he is working on his next song/video which seems it will be a parody on sports of some sort.
If you haven’t seen his Korea MV, it’s pretty cool. I wonder what it took to organize this many people.

“A girl who covers herself but is more sexy than a girl who bares it all.
A sensible girl like that.”
That video must have been made somewhere in India.
You gotta admit, the guy has some serious moves, even Michael Jackson would have been envious.
