RANCHO SANTA FE (CNS) - About 60 shelter dogs and cats displaced as Hurricane Sandy struck the East Coast will arrive in San Diego Saturday, then will be taken to a Rancho San Diego animal center, according to center officials.
The Helen Woodward Animal Center, the Sea World Rescue Team and Southwest Airlines teamed up to fly the shelter pets from New Jersey.

These animals were already in shelters when the storm hit.
she had been to other shelters but HW was the cleanest and had the most helpful people. (of course, it doesn't hurt that it's in one of the most expensive areas of San Diego).
It isn’t just the Kitty Ping list. All of the ping lists that are really big are having the double (or triple) ping problem. My list is tiny, only 80 names, but some have hundreds.
If I were having that problem, I’d break up the list and ping half or a third (in some cases) of them at a time.
But that’s just me.
