Video link to an interview w/ Costas and Franco Harris. They also did another interview at the same link on the Immaculate Reception.

Franco tells it like it is. Costas has softened on Joe because he actually read the freeh report. Good interview and good representation from Franco (who is not known for his public speaking).

TOPICS: Miscellaneous; Sports
KEYWORDS: football; joe; pa; paterno; pennstate; psu
Watch it.

I immediately click to another channel everytime that little pipsqueak Costas begins to talk.

Never liked Joe Paterno either, as the media puffed him up out of proportion like they do Notre Dame. The media should consider the strength of opposition teams and how many wins come from playing significantly weaker teams before annointing teams like ND, PSU and OSU as top rated teams. ....JMO (Now ducking from the incoming)

Not known for his public speaking, but I heard him deliver a high-school commencement address once, and he did a really excellent job. I hope every one of those kids followed his advice.

That being said, his little choo-choo has gone way way WAY around the bend where Joe is concerned. He has thoroughly embarrassed himself on this topic. Wake up and smell the emails, Franco. Joe knew!

Well atleast Costas read the Freeh Report it appears and is cognizant of the fact that McQueary’s testimony was all over the place and hardly trustworthy — something that most people that point fingers at Paterno don’t want to admit.

Can you imagine going public in the community accusing someone of child molestation on the word of a person who never made that claim, or later changed what he said he saw. If you had a statue there, it would have been torn down.

This is sort of a culmination of a lot of hard work by a lot of people - some Penn Staters, some not. From John Ziegler and the amazing guys at framingpaterno.com to the investigative team at second mile sandusky scandal to the legal team at PS4RS.

Kevin Slaten (who’s since been fired) always said Costas would come around. He was right.

As for Franco, what can you say. He’s sincere. He’s knowledgeable. He is obviously sick about what has happened.
