Amen to what YOU said.

Reince Priebus did an EXCELLENT job here in Wisconsin to promote GOOD conservative Repbulicans, hence Governor Scott Walker, etc. Then he got tapped for DC and IMHO he was smothered by the big boys. He is a very principled man and it is a shame what has happened to the GOP. Sick of their GOPe attitude towards conservatives. They must go. We did dump Lugar - but got a Dem in his place.

Do any of you remember that when Murkowski was defeated in Alaska primary, GOP sent lawyers to help HER defeat the real winner, Miller??? Well, Murkowski is still there, now isn’t she? I called the Senatorial Office of GOP and was told that “we HAD to send lawyers - she’s a sitting senator!” I said she LOST - LOST - LOST the primary. They blew me off. I gave them a polite but forceful statement back that they would NEVER get my support again.

I switched to Independent several years ago because the Republicans weren’t doing their job. Now it has become even more apparent that, for the most part, the Republicans are just Democrat-lite. They have had so many opportunities to DO something, to upset the apple cart, but they have done nothing. They just sit back and ALLOW the Dems to destroy our country at every turn. I’ve had it! Unless Sarah and Allen West start their own REAL conservative party, I’m not putting my time or money into any further elections. And what is the point of voting if the Dems steal the elections and the Republicans turn their heads and pretend it didn’t happen? What happened to the Tea Party? Didn’t hear much from them this election either! I’m just so discouraged and feel so impotent and hopeless.

Fraud is nothing new, nor has it always been the domain of the Dems. Boss Tweed herded drunks to the polls. Andrew Jackson's men flat out PAID for votes AT THE VOTING PLACE. The Republicans cheated very well in the election of 1876.

I understand your anger, but the fact is our side (including many Christian conservatives) just don't want to fight dirty. They are "holier than thou." Believe it or not, this was why many people wanted Romney---cause they thought he would be ruthless and sneaky. He wasn't.

Until we master Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" and internalize the "Anarchist's Cookbook," we will lose. It's time to get in the dirt.

The only people that take this seriously are us, We The People. It is business as usual for the rest of these politicians, consultants, pundits, and talking heads. As much as I have struggled with the concept, I can't help feeling now that the elected GOP (with very few exceptions) are just the other side of the same political establishment coin as the Dims. They all can go out a talk a good game when they think they need to, but under the surface they are on the same team, and that team doesn't include us. It is painful to accept it, and I think that is why a lot of us wanted to believe that there was a difference, that somehow we could affect change by voting. It has been like absorbing a 2 week punch to the gut since this election.

(I hope that you will be able to find gainful employment in a field somehow related to your expertise, all the best on that FRiend!)

Who was behind the redistricting of Col. West’s district, making him vulnerable in this election? Inquiring minds want to know.

It won't do him any good. They will do him the same way they did him this time.

Before I turned it off on election night my truck radid on WFLA was reporting that obama was getting 56% of the votes in Hillsborough County. Up till election day I saw four obama yard signs. One was on Trapmell Road, one was on Lone Oak Road, One was on Jerry Smith Road, and one was in frount of a bait shop on Road 39. The momday before the election I went to Brandon to make a car payment. I saw too many Romney signs to count and not one obama sigh. Car bumper stickers? At the most tow obama signs and these were on vehicles driven by White people.

There were Romney signs by the dozen. In yards, in front of businesses, on vehicles, and on the raodsides. Yet, they said that obama was getting 56% of the vote. From this, I knew what was happening Nationwide, turned it off and have not listened since. when obama comes on during a newscast, I turn it off. When I an at someplace he is on t.v., I tune him out mentally.

Larry, you’re so right! I’m no spring chicken and I remember, as a child, my parents telling me the Dems were the crooked party, then learning more about them in school. It just seems that recently, they have accelerated their dirty politics and the Republicans are enabling them now!

Wonder if he’d be interested in heading a new party.

Oh good grief, there are already plenty of 3rd party's that are going nowhere - why would Col West start yet another? Stop with silly fantasies, West isn't going to start some dopey 3rd party.

We need a new party based on ideas, principled conservative ideas, not pandering.

Well go join the Constitution Party, or the Libertarian Party, or even our own EternalVigilance's America's Party. There are plenty of 3rd party's and none of them are going to amount to squat in a system that so heavily favors 2 competing party's.

And West didn't lose from vote fraud, he lost because his district was changed and became more Democrat than it was before. If Col West runs in a Republican district in Florida as soon as one opens up, I am sure he will win. It was predictable that West would have trouble winning the district he is currently in.

Conservatives need to stop the whining and flailing over idiotic things like new party's or blaming our election loss on fraud. Do Democrats cheap where possible? Sure. Is that why this election cycle was such a disappointment? No. We lost because the country is more dependent than ever. There are more and more takers, for ever maker. We are marching towards becoming European social welfare state - if we aren't that already. We are far enough down this road that it is now probably nearly impossible to reverse until the whole house of cards falls.

I think Allen West’s next play is to run for Governor of Florida. Would seem an odd thing to do given he lost a House seat, but there would be opportunity for him to win a statewide race.

That was my attitude when I joined FR in 1999. Since then, I’ve been told to “hold my nose”, “vote against the other guy”, “We must all back the same horse”, “hang together or hang separately”, and every other corny aphorism folks could drum up to convince me it was ok to sell out my principles to back a GOP lame horse.

No more. Period. End of line.

If this Country is on an Express rail-line to Hades, then it may be time to blow the tracks and hope some few survive the crash.

Perhaps he would have had more support for his reelection if he had not been an early supporter of increasing the debt ceiling in return for a bogus deficit cutting agreement with the Rats.

Have we seen any discussion of deficit cuts beyond Defense cuts? I haven’t.

Unless it’s a Palin/West ticket, why would any conservative want to vote Republican in 2016?

You are right. I, myself, left talk radio and TV on Bloody Thursday during the primary because I knew what was happening. Have not been back since (honest) and feel so much better. I get my news local and on the web. Hannity is old news; I can’t see how people follow him the way they do. I lost respect from Rush when he said Newt was a bold conservative with ideas to get things done in Washington. same week.. on air, he admits he got a phone call from the Romney camp saying that he, Rush was too positive with Newt. Since that, he was criticizing Newt at each turn. They have played a lot of listeners. I am glad I got out of the cycle of spin. I think they said he would win in a landslide to get people out to vote so people would feel good about being on a winning side. Though in truth, they knew the base had issues with the candidate. And you can bet ElRushbo knows who the GOP/RNC has up for next bat.

Don’t put down the voters who voted for him and voted only once.

A lot of us are upset.
