i know none of you watch Oreilly, but last night it was pretty apparent that both Bill and Dennis Miller are upset/depressed about the election results. Oreilly nearly bit MK Hammer’s head off [i’m going to have to check twitter, she HAD to have been Pd O at the tone he took with her] and Miller was not one bit funny, he was serious as a heart attack. It was pretty disconcerting since i have been feeling the same way. The wife of one of my coworkers worked at the WH on obamacare. I was talking to the woman whose ofc is next to mine and she calls out to Jonathon as he was passing by to say DID YOU GET TO MEET HIM? he comes to the doorway and proceeds to relate how he met obama when he accompanied his wife on her exit interview etc. i could not even feign interest so i basically stared at the floor until the exchange was over, expressionless and silent. if there had been a way out of the room without barreling past him, i would have taken it. it was positively painful. he’s a nice enough guy and wasn’t being obnox about it at all, but the mere topic of conversation had me ready to jump out of my skin.

all i know is i need to talk to xshub about going out of town somewhere on 1/21 (are they really going to have inauguration day on MLK day?) He was out of town on biz 4 years ago and xsboy, xsbaby and i ran to OH for the weekend to escape. Problem is this january xsbro and xsSIL will be in process of moving to TX and not up to receiving guests there yet.
I think those are the, as much as there are any, solutions. Speaking from a secular/materialist stand point.
1. Get local: Make your local area as good as possible. A little oasis in a sea of insanity. No Democrats.

get out and go where?
A foreign country might be a possibility for those with means: Central or South America.
More realistically a red state or a red area of a blue state.
I think of it as secession on a individual level :)
relocating to a foreign country is pretty risky it seems to me. Costa Rica is a longstanding democracy but do i want to bet my entire life savings on it by uprooting and moving there? i don’t know. TX is attractive to me, but until we retire, not really a possibility.

A cute idea would be someone getting the goods on Obama. Now THAT would be turning the tables on him. He is quite the stealth one. He had Patraeus on a string even before Benghazi. Once Patraeus resigned, he was out and outed. Imagine having a string on Obama and making him dance.
What boggles the mind is that Holly Patraeus is buds with Lizze the injun Warren. Now that is twisted.
