Her name is synonymous with beauty, grace and elegance.
But Lindsay Lohan's attempts to channel stylish Elizabeth Taylor for a private dinner to celebrate the Lifetime premiere of Liz & Dick on Tuesday evening can only be described as a failure.
The 26-year-old actress, who has already been given terrible reviews surrounding her performance playing the Hollywood legend in her new Lifetime biopic, stepped out in a trashy gold dress as she graced the red-carpet at the Beverly Hills hotel.
At first glance Lindsay's gold gown could have passed as tasteful, but on closer inspection the red dangling gems strategically placed in keyhole cut-outs cheapened the look.
Lindsay's further attempts at channelling the legendary Hollywood star meanwhile failed to save the look.
The actress paired the attire with a fur stole, which she desperately tried to sexily drape off her shoulders, just like Liz once did.

A couple of observations:
1. Lindsay Lohan is 26 but looks at least 40.
2. A junior high home-economics student could have done a better job on that dress. The seams pucker and the hem is just awful.
I will never watch this thing.
Liz deserves better than this.
Lohan is a trashy B list has-been at 26, she is not aging very well either... I think it's the drugs and the excess mileage.
By her mid 30's Lohan will be a drug addled parolee with a SAG card.
You’re right that Lohan is trash, but Taylor was a selfish, homewrecking tramp, and this is exactly what she deserves.

Eh, Liz lived a pretty trashy life. She just did it with a bit of panache. Unlike LL.
Interesting. If I had not read the article, and just seen the pics, I would have thought she was going for Courtney Love or Anna Nicole Smith. Train Wreck.

Infidelity, cheating with her best friend’s husband.
Drug abuse.
She died obese and decrepid.
Elizabeth Taylor is NOT the lady people would like to believe she was. And Lohan’s got a LOOOOOONG way to go before hitting the lows of Elizabeth Taylor.
I think Elizabeth Taylor had her own issues with drug abuse.
