“They were attacking the vehicle,” Karen Halvorson said outside her home in the Aspinwall Hill neighborhood.

After getting in her truck, a neighbor came and ran the birds off but it didn’t stop there.

“Then, the turkeys came and started attacking my front door,” she said.

“Attack of the Killer Turkeys” was filmed on location in the suburban Boston area, where they had no shortage of qualified turkey extras.

We have quite a few here in South Jersey, but I’ve never known them to be aggressive.

They’re upset about all of the traffic in Boston last night... a 25 mile back-up on the Mass Pike and a 35 mile back-up on Route 128.

I would think it would be fun to put on some leather gear and run up to and grab a few turkeys and break their necks and, nom nom nom...

Nothing that cannot be solved with mashed potatoes, stuffing, and cranberry sauce.

If the cops were called in, they’d shoot the dogs. Not sure about the turkeys, though. It might not be part of their training.

I actually tried that once. Wanted to see how fast wild turkeys could move if I chased them.

They left me in the dirt. Literally.

No shortage of wild turkeys here south of Boston.
A friend of mine shot one last year and it weighed in at 24 lbs.
I have since found out, some wild turkeys in other states can weigh over 30 lbs.

Wild turkeys have a nasty spur on their leg. -tom

My wild turkeys come in my yard if I don’t get the corn out for them early enough. The surround me as I feed them but never been attacked. I feed 46 a day, most of them being babies when they first met me. It is so cool.

The only turkeys I can fathom in Brookline, MA are the liberals wack-jobs that live there.

Ours are a bit more shy. If I go out the back door when they’re in the yard, they leave. It’s amazing how quickly they can just disappear.

Lucky you!

I think. Forty-six turkey mouths to feed is a lot. Lol.
