IIRC, AVG is a complete scam. I wouldn’t go to their website and download anything there.

I use the one my ISP provides, Macafee. Works fine. Hard to tell if it’s really swell, in a way, because I do most of my FReeping on a MacBook. But I have several Windows machines here that my wife and I use (and Parallels/Windows on the Mac. Still need anti-virus for that).

I had nothing but bad experiences with AVG. It’s a virus unto its self.

I used McAffee for three years and got several viruses in that time. I dumped McAfee finally and installed AVG and have not had a virus in 6 years.
