What things motivated someone to vote for Obama?
Here are the rules:
1. List each motivator and then show what percentage that motivator was for their total motivation to vote for Obama. 2. Motivators must add up to 100%. 3. Yes, we know they are full of crap, but that's not a motivator. 4. Extra points for creativity.
Because you can’t fix stupid: 100%
Yep ... squared.
Free crap 30%
Mitt is mean 20%
Free crap 20%
You can’t have sex when Republican is President 10%
Free crap 10%
Free enterprise sucks 20%
free crap 10%
I want to go to college til I’m 45 10%
free crap 15%
Dont’ tell me it doesn’t add up to 100%, who are YOU to judge me???
Because their family has just always voted Democrat 100%
1. Freebies at someone else’s expense (50%)
2. Race/Gender/Religious hatred (50%)
How else do you explain the large percentage of blacks, Latinos, Muslims and women voting for Obamao?
Jews are more complicated along with Catholics. Not hatred, but life-long preaching of wealth redistribution.
Republicans are evil: 25%
Republicans must have banned adultery, bestiality and homosexual behavior: 30%
Republicans will ban all abortions if elected: 10%
No free handouts: 30%
You can’t have a religious believer elected to public office: 5%
Do you think more than a few folks read the A. C. Doyle book, A STUDY IN SCARLET?
From an Englisman’s point of view it is a very damning view into Mormonism.
The Dhimmis ran a Muslim and won, we ran a Mormon and lost. Lesson learned, start with a better field of primary candidates.
Nah we’ll keep right on Huckabeeing the rep. primaries till our party is as dead as the WHIG PARTY.
“Because I don’t care if taxes are raised on anyone but me.”
Stomach cramps 100%
I was going to give a snarky reply to this thread but yours is better than mine. I like it. Perfect!
Fear of not being able to get health care (a lot of my friends and I were laid off a year and a half ago; all of us in our 50’s, all “uninsurable” at nearly any price -fortunately I landed a with benefits a few months ago-; nothing else (Constitution, flag, tradition) means SQUAT if you can’t get affordable health insurance). Some even here don’t get it- you can do everything right and still find yourself uninsured, and uninsurable at any cost you can pay- at that point the worst portrait anyone on FR could ever paint of “2016” as scary as needing medications or a transplant and not being able to them. And we already have ‘death panels’- they are just run by Insurance Adjusters now.
Sheer dislike of Romney, “corporations are people” and the entire concept of the kind of finance that Bain does (or any finance at all beyond a local bank loaning to a local business) To be honest, I know of no one except on FR or WSJ who likes Citizen’s United.
Dislike of the coded racism displayed by *some* anti Obama protesters, and the antipathy and comments about the First Lady. The Tea Party had best fact up to the fact that there *ARE* people who appear to be racist, or can be made to appear so with minor editing. It only takes one idiot in a crowd, left or right, to give the other side all the “evidence” they need to reaffirm their prejudices. A not to all politicians “THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS ‘CONTEXT’ ANYMORE’, like it or not, left or right, if you utter a sentence, or string of words that can be construed as stupid, backward, ignorant, etc THEY WILL BE TAKEN THAT WAY. Neither left or right is pure in this respect.
Apologies if you wanted silly, but the above is a pretty close breakdown of the friends and co workers who voted for Obama and why. Unscientific as hell, but don’t ask if you don’t want the answers.
I have always dislike the two party system. I don’t think it serves the interests of the people well at all. Moderate Republicans and Moderate Democrats have much more in common with each other than they have with the “hard core” wings of their respective parties.
“, among folks who chose Cares About People, Romney lost dramatically 81-18%.”
Like Rush has said so well, “You can’t run against Santa Claus” and win.
Socialism is a disease that has infected our culture and it looks like a civil war is inevitable. This was the goal of the Fabians all along. There aren’t any good choices left. Give me liberty or give me death, still is true today.
No need to apologize. Serious is OK. I’m trying to understand why people voted for Obama.
Self-loathing. However they are too weak to kill themselves.
If the health insurance company you have paid on time for 27 years all of a sudden drops you, and there is simply no health coverage available, then nothing. else. matters. Nothing.
1. Hatred of success, focused more closely by racial envy -30%.
2. Promised & already received material benefits at the expense of the rest of the public—27.5%.
3. Class envy— 16%.
4. White guilt—15%.
5. Women Misled by Feminists—10%
6. Multiple votes by those in groups 1 -5—1.5%
